Region coded Blu Ray disks
Anyone ever had such a thing? I'm pondering getting Justified - City Primeval and it ships from the US. (I know the DVD is regionally coded). I've never seen regionally coded Blu Rays but I understand they exist.
(I use a PS3 as a disk player and I'm sure I could frig it but not THAT bothered and would wait rather than shell out the £25).

I'm pretty sure they are region coded. And looking on Wikipedia I'm more than pretty sure:

Hmm. 70% of them aren't but probably not worth risking the £25/having to mess about with the player. I'm sure they weren't in the early days. Hey ho.

I must admit I didn't imagine a Justified / Elmore Leonard tie-in, but then I've only seen the first episode of season one, so maybe it makes perfect sense?

Not worth £25, a tenner of fifteen quid maybe, it was OK but not up to the original series

Re: Region coded Blu Ray disks
The first episode (Fire in the Hole) was very much Elmore Leonard and it set the tone - snappy dialogue etc - for the rest of it. It sagged a bit for a couple of seasons but picked up for the finale. Walton Goggins was whenever he appeared.

I'll give it another go some time. I've missed out on many a good series through mood/circumstance/first impression etc.Count Steer wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 6:25 pm The first episode (Fire in the Hole) was very much Elmore Leonard and it set the tone - snappy dialogue etc
* Just looked up 'Fire in the Hole' and I don't recall anything at all from the synopsis beyond the opening scene. Will give it another go
