To no-one's great surprise David Alonso, the 18 year old Colombian Moto3 championship leader, will move up to Moto2 in 2025 with the same team, Aspar CFMoto.

I'm looking forward to seeing if he continues the progression through the classes. Him and Acosta in MotoGP could be fun.

Yes, there's still a way to go in his development but he's blindingly quick, gets up to speed in the manner of MM93 and has amazing spatial and situational awareness. If he continues on his current trajectory I'd say we're looking at a generational talent in the mould of Rossi, Stoner and Marquez.
And he seems a really nice kid, as well.
