You may have a point there. The most recent Japanese bike I've owned was a 1997 TL1000S and I can't reliably remember bolt head sizes on that. And a lot of 8mm headed M6 bolts, particularly on the engine.
The Falco uses a lot of 12mm headed M8 bolts and 8mm headed M6 bolts. Perversely the KTM Duke mainly uses Torx fasteners.

Found out that Pedro Acosta often turns up at the Fortuna Circuit, which is used primarily for racing pit bike, small capacity race bikes and supermotos.

Been there a few times recently, and its not difficult to see why there are so many Spaniards are successful in Moto3 Moto2 and MotoGP.
Most regions throughout Spain have similar tracks. Plus the weather to practice 12 months a year.
