When it left the barrel of the rifle it would have been a perfect head shot had it been ten milliseconds earlier. In that time, Trump moved.

I do believe I called it a miracle Trumps head didn't explode live on camera. I am still of that opinion. It was ridiculously close. The world would have become a much darker place but for those few thousandths of a second...

Crooks was a 20 year old quiet kid, bullied in high school (disputed by one classmate), intelligent and a little weird according to classmates. One of whom described him as a "terrible shot." Also described him as always taking the conservative side in mock debates. Other descriptions included nice kid and loner. He was employed at a local nursing home kitchen. His phone showed searches for images of Trump and Biden. Could it possibly be he was just a loner out for his 15 minutes?

Not exactly the kind of person a clandestine group is going to send to take out a president.

Trump seems to have gone very quiet since the DNC. He was battering his social media site with bizarre comments during her speech but I don't think he's worked out how to attack her yet.

I can imagine his advisors telling him to stick to policy on immigration and inflation but his instinct will be to take it to personal attacks.
