Yebbut their halloween sems to involve some effort. British/European halloween is a witches hat and a plastic pumpkin.
A long way off of American standards, but around here Halloween is gradually becoming quite the event. Houses get made up with as much effort as Xmas! Some of the kids outfits and make up etc is really good too. There is also a lot of encouragement on local Facebook pages to support it as a community event.

Our lads prefer pint cans over little 'uns so a bit of a pain.
Pints get warm too quickly, thats why the Spanish drink cañas, it's only the English that drink pints. The best way is to copy the Aussies, cold can in a beer cozy, it keeps a cold beer cold the longest.
Cold beer? How very uncivilised. :(

When I was supermarket trucking we would start the Xmas deliveries straight after August bank holiday, long shelf life products, advent calenders,Christmas puddings, selection box's etc, have a look in your supermarket's at what Xmas crap's arrived in the next few weeks, it's a proper downer at the end of summer!.
Apart from the shareholders pretty much everyone grew to detest Christmas.

I had a fleece on walking into town. The wind was howling and chilly despite it being 24c. First time in months.
Much calmer here in town.

It was dull and a rainy 10 degrees in Omagh this lunchtime. Had to keep the truck running for heat.

Sometimes the wind here does get on your nerves, but that's why the islands made their name.
Ships sailed down to here from Europe then the howling trade winds blew them to America in half the normal time.

The weather in the Canaries is pretty constant, which is probably one of the reasons you moved there. Here it can be 40+ in the summer to frost and even snow in winter.

Never a day below 20 in winter.
Drops to 15c overnight sometimes.

I can tolerate Raspberry jam. I like strawberry jam. Raspberry jam and strawberry jam look very similar and sit next to each other on the supermarket shelves. The last time I wanted to buy strawberry jam I bought raspberry jam by mistake. :angry-cussingblack:

Yeah, I know, first world problem, poor obs etc. :(

I had to spend a week on the bed with a damp towel on my forehead after I bought ground cumin instead of cumin seed.

I can't remember a worse summer than this one. It looks as grey as a November day out there.

Barn find.

Did you ask the owners permission to sell it, Is it really yours to sell or do you mean old heap of shit your want rid of? We had a farmer out this way with a bunch of 80's cars what were in a barn. They were all his as was the barn but each one was up for sale as a barn find. Did you forget they were in the barn you tit.

Windy here as well. So glad i went to Spain for a week to remind me what decent weather is like. Long hot sunny days, with warm balmy nights and no asthma for a whole week.
