Nice to see them on old shitters, I remember Ewan having a Guzzi decades ago, I wonder if it's the same one.

I hope Apple eventually sell it to a service I actually have access too.

Liked the first two, the Long Way Up was a bit shite, jumped on the electric bike thing a bit too hard, at least this might be a bit more interesting using old bikes

Half the fun is the journey and friendship.
I wouldn't care if they were on KTMs (spit)

Hmmm - bit lacking in ambition, ok they're on relatively old bikes, but they're not OLD old, they're not that much older in terms of tech than the R1150GSs they did Long Way Round on. Would have been fun to see them on some 50s or 60s bikes: still capable of the trip, but with a touch more maintenance needed en route.. :D

Could easily have swung down through the Middle East (well - the relatively safe bits...), and into Africa, round to Morocco and up again.

That said the good parts of the program aren't really the bikes, it's the vistas and people they meet, and the banter along the way (like Yorick said).

I'll be watching it for sure.

Round and Down were great, but I got bored a few episodes into Long Way Up, and have been meaning to finish it ever since. This looks better 👍

My Dad lived in Lusaka and was a founder of the local M/C club. When doing the long way up Ewen and Charlie pulled in as a pit stop on the way through Zambia, get the bikes serviced, new tyres etc. The club met them with a full turnout on the way in, escorted them to the service point, looked after them, sent them on their way after a good night with freshly fettled bikes. Didn’t get a mention, the film crew were only interested in showing the “real” Africa. I enjoyed watching the series though, I’d like to see this one.old man wasn’t impressed by Ewen’s missus joining, thought she was a spoiled princess 😞
