New postees..
How do we encourage new members to post?
It can be like a group of old friends down the pub on here sometimes (which it is i suppose) and the new guy in the village doesn't know anyone, but maybe thats for them to introduce themselves and get involved.
Maybe sometimes the new guy gets shot down a bit and never seen again, maybe giving friendly advice, but someone else knows better.
Whatever it is, can we do better.???

I've a few road bike mates here. And same amount of dirt bike mates.
But none of them are Forum types. All surfers dudes and it's not their thing really.

Re: New postees..
I assume as time goes on and content grows, it fills more hits in search engines and then more and more people find it and either join or don't.
Of course I'm biased and want more posters, but by the same account I like the friendly feel of the place as it is too.
The good thing is, we haven't gone for the shark attacking the little fish type approach with newbies, so if some do find their way here, they're likely to be made welcome

Re: New postees..
I can't post in general. Is this some new thing to prevent anyone posting anything?
Not as if this forum is exactly buzzing. This is like an old folks home for half a dozen blokes from TRC to "stay in touch".

Re: New postees..
We've got an FB group but I'm too busy to promote it in and around all the bike specific groups, the dozens of ex VD / TRC folk who are all friends etc. A few people have accidentally found there way here and I'm sure more will over time.
