Next time, coat of polish before applying stickers? And remove them ASAP?

Has it always damaged whatever you were taking the stickers off?

Nope. Been doing trackdays 25 years and they always put stickers on screen.

My money is on the thinners.

'Mineral spirits (paint thinner) won't hurt most plastics but will attack soft plastics and will slowly dissolve styrofoam. Lacquer thinner will craze acrylics, dissolve soft plastics, and munch styrofoam like cinema popcorn'.

I'd put some on Styrofoam and see what happens.

The only method I'd ever use to remove stickers is heat, judiciously applied.

The lesson might be not to buy cheap screens if you'll have to remove trackday stickers off them again.

I believe (and I could be wrong) that OEM and good aftermarket screens will be made of polycarbonate, while your double bubble screen from Uncle Ali will be whatever cheap plastic he had kicking around that would vacuum form nicely.

Polycarbonate will also hold up better against scratches.

I'd be screwing some bit of temporary throwaway plastic onto the front somewhere if they're going to insist on smothering the bike in stickers on TDs. Unless it's sexy to keep the stickers as a memento and remind others how kool you are. ;)

I'd just put another over the top. :)

I used to do that to remind me how cool I was. :(
