Very nice. Considering the amount of work that's gone into it, it's quite understated ie not a radical looking change.
That front disk look like it's come off a bicycle though!

Nice, but the stock bike is quite nice anyway.

I really like that, but then again I think that the stock bike's pretty.
It's been a surprise to me that Yamaha never cashed in on the legacyy of the XT500 & made something in a similar style with the CP2 700 motor

Yes,& the reviews I've seen praised it. I'm just surprised that Yamaha didn't go down that route, especially when they went down the 'Modern Retro' route with their XSR series of bikes
Edit,Sorry I forgot,it was their 500 Caballero that got the good reviews...

Nicely done but the aesthetic is a no from me.
The cut off tapered seat looks plain wrong. Headlight and front mudguard looks cheap/nasty.
I guess that's about it really. Very easy to fix those visual nasties.
I have a couple of XT's waiting for me to nail back together so am always looking for inspiration else it will just be a boring OEM look that in reality, is pretty hard to beat.

Reminds me of a wee workmate Fish, from back in the day. A classic looking bike, very difficult to improve on the original because they got it so right.
It's a nice effort.

Love it - wouldn’t change a thing. Well, the suede seat, maybe.
They’ve genuinely managed to improve on the original.

I liked the look of the XT500 I owned back in 1990, even though it was a bit tatty.
It was shite to ride, one of the worst (Japanese) single engines I have ridden. Vibrated horribly.
