2 on the same vehicle would make me look for a problem with said vehicle.
Me sir, me sir!
Luckily went at >30 mph. Bead failed on a year old tyre. Quick check of the other tyre showed exactly same problem.
Never bought Chinese commercial tyres again!

Curiosity really, nothing more.
Not sure I'd call a '67 plate Ford Focus 'fancy' but it does have alloys. The Audi Q3 Quattro had quite a big alloy/tyre combo I suppose.
Not sure how steel wheels would help pothole rips and screws in tyres though?

It's more the fact old school steel wheels tend to come in combination with high sidewall balloon looking tyres that have plenty of give.

Not gonna do a huge amount for punctures though I'll grant you. Except maybe a very slightly lower chance of getting one 'cause the tyres tend to be narrower :D

Always run alloys, mostly with a 55% sidewall, last puncture was 10 years ago

I know, I know, s'why I tend to avoid the subject.
But as I've totally bolloxed myself I may as well admit I've never had a puncture on any motorcycle I've ever owned either. Actually thinking about it no bike in my care (mine, SWMBO, daughter or BiL's) has ever had a puncture.

That's pretty remarkable. Do you live anywhere close to @Sunny ? Maybe she's hoovered up all the nasty stuff in the area. :D

I've no idea, but I do tend to avoid potholes at all costs

That's impressive! My first three punctures were all on my bike, and all picked up during the commute into central Birmingham. I'd go to leave work and find a flat tyre 😭

I don't think anybody purposefully aims at them 😆
