Massively under delivered. Nothing here apart from some poxy bridge.


Tomorrow it’s Geneva. I was also looking forward to visiting there.

It was really useful a couple of times to get from France to Germany.

I actually had quite a pleasant overnight stop in a rural bit for one night there on one bike trip. The main bit looks as smug as Switzerland but without the nice scenery.

I had night in Remich, bordering Germany and thought it was very nice. River cruises, bars and barber's, don't remember what else, oh yeah, pizza's. Plenty worse about.

That might be where we were. I remember a stroll along the riverbank. Might have stayed at the Esplanade but not sure.

Nice steaks in Wemperhardt near the border to the north of Lux, El Toro’s. Gone a bit posh nowadays but the food is excellent, if you like steak from anywhere in the world.

I went there once. Somebody took me to a Luxembourgish restaurant. Think of it as a meeting of French and German cuisine.

tbf, it's just a smaller version of Belgium...

I stayed in a nice Hotel on the east coast what was nice. Vianden. Nice bars, restaurants and people. I went as the castle looks a nice place to visit but it was shut Apart from that we used to go every year when i smoked as Route66 was a great cheap tobacco and booz shop. Used to get a years worth of tobacco and some extra to sell in the pub.
