As Harry Ramsden was born 22 years after the 1860 one, this seems unlikely!

The first curry house to open up was on lumb lane just after listers mill was built

The first fish n chip shop to open up was arry ramsdens in guisley

Local story has it that a large number of army lads who were going back to catterick, after a weekend on exercise, called in. Fish n chips 157 times to take out please. 15 minutes later the order was delivered😳

There are 49million kangaroos in Australia and 1.1 million people in Djibouti which means if the kangaroos were to invade Djibouti, each person will have to fight 44 kangaroos!

There's history here too.

Australian wild life vs. Armed resistance? Don't bet on the humans mate.

I'm not convinced this is an actual fact but it made me smile when I read it and wonder if it really is.

Austin Allegros are more aerodynamically efficient in reverse than they are going forwards.

That is true for many cars before hairy dynamics was understood....on a similar note (vaguely), did you know a messerscmidt kr200 will go pretty well as fast in reverse as forward?

The Messerschmidt had a 200 cc Sachs two stroke. T reverse, you stop the engine, push the key in, and restart...in reverse...hence 4 reverse gears...bit tricky over 20 mph......

A mate had a 3 wheeler Berkeley (like a small Reliant van) , with a 250 Villiers engine.

Slowing for junctions, it would occasionally backfire and start running (badly) 'backwards'. Apparently entertaining* if you tried to drive away.

* For onlookers
