It's an application called Crowdstrike that's caused the issue. Worldwide
Crowdstrike?

'CrowdStrike is a US-based American cybersecurity firm that helps companies manage their security in "IT environments" — that is, everything they use an internet connection to access. Its primary function is to protect companies and stop data breaches, ransomware and cyber attacks.'

Well, it seems to work a treat.
Oh it's hysterical yes, this is the system designed to protect machines. It's comical honestly

It's not a hard fix, we've fixed 200+ servers today. But it does take time for sure. 15-20 mins per box, we've got 7-8 people working on it from just our small infrastructure.

I'd imagine we've got 10,000 machines down company wide. Happily I don't need to fix all of them.

And, I'm leaving in an hour to go racing

Yonks ago, we had three PDP 11-34s (I think. Another elderly person may be able to confirm the numbering).

Regular 'preventative maintenance'.

Which regularly prevented them from working.

NHS England says the global power outage is affecting most GP practices - but there is currently no known impact on emergency services.

I'm logged on for ambulance calls. Except the despatch system isn't working correctly.

Fret ye not. You can still order on-line (standing in the shop) and collect. :D

So basically, the kids were being arseholes and the 7 (!) teachers did fuck all about it, letting them smoke and fuck around.

You're too corporate for me. I tend to shop in small local shops and markets and they'll take cash for sure!

round these parts the small independents are the least likely to take cash  Loads and loads of shops are card only, normally driven off an iPad.

I was really surprised and a bit shocked when in Weymouth in April that, when we stopped for a coffee and a cake, they wouldn't take cash!!

Given the costs of taking cards, I can only think that they don't have enough faith/trust in their staff to allow them to handle actual money??!!!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:
