RFK's son recorded a phone call between his father and Trump. The call was after the shooting. They discussed vaccines and the idiocy is both amusing and disturbing. Trump hasn't got a clue about vaccines, not to mention most everything he blathers on about.Count Steer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 8:17 am
It's not just those two. The Kennedy candidate is a fruit loop too.
This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...

Much like people who attended medical school, but haven't got the first fucking clue how to build a corporation of over 500 companies & employ thousands of people...
Re: This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...
Trump says worse every day. It was a bad turn of phrase by Biden that looked worse given what happened. But he apologised for it, and explained what he meant by it.

2016:
Donald Trump has been accused of a making an “assassination threat” against rival Hillary Clinton, plunging his presidential campaign into a fresh crisis.
The volatile Republican nominee was speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, about the next president’s power to appoint supreme court justices. “Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the second amendment,” said Trump, eliciting boos from the crowd.
“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the second amendment people, maybe there is"
Even bland can be a type of character
Re: This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...
Exactly. A slightly poor choice of words vs a specific incitement to murder...
It's a classic Trump/Biden situation, much like the official documents thing. If so inclined, you can draw a vague kind of equivalence, but look into the details for just a moment and one is 1000 times worse than the other.

Nobody cares, it's all 'fake news' and 'of course I didn't mean that' stuff - we see it time and time again.
I think Statesmen of all political persuasions should just grow up and stop looking for motivating bullshit soundbites. Mentioning 'a target' & referencing the 2nd amendment correlates very rarely into actual violence. Violence is happening all the time in the US, I doubt we get to hear about all the failed attempts on (ex) Presidents.

Shit just hit the fan for the USSS.
They knew of the threat 10 minutes before Trump took the stage & were discussing it when the shooting happened.
Violated Job #1: Protect the POTUS. Should never have allowed him to take the stage.
Fucking cops were INSIDE the building while the guy was climbing onto the roof.
& the local Sheriff (who is beyond pissed) called out the head of the USSS on her bullshit when she tried to say the local cops were responsible for security outside the event. They were only tasked with traffic control.

Biden just canceled his Vegas appearance & is off home to his basement as he has covid again.
Thinking maybe he will become "too ill" to continue his campaign...

WTF does that have to do with all the tea in China? We're talking about an idiot that pretends he knows how to develop and distribute vaccines in one breath and then belittles the need for them in another. The flip flopping with the wind is dizzying. One day he disses another waste of skin, the next he's on the phone schmoozing him for support. Likewise for his VP choice, another weathervane politician.
BTW, were it not for daddy, Trump would be selling hotdogs on the sidewalk in NYC. He managed to run 3 casinos into the ground, an airline and a few other businesses. Oh, remind me, what's going on with his business enterprises in NY? I believe Trump world has a court appointed babysitter because someone doesn't know how to do jack shit without breaking laws left, right, and center. Let's not forget about Trump family fraudulent charities. It would seem The Donald's Veep is a chip off the ol' block in that realm.
I used to be under the impression that the democrats were spineless twats, clearly the republican party hasn't a vertebra in the lot. The only ones that didn't have an epiphany after Trump got the nomination in 2016 and became the ready front runner this go round are whack jobs like MTG and Boebert. Jesus H Christ, even Mitch McConnell has orange spray tan goop smeared on his lips.
It's all hilarious until you realize who the joke is on.

They probably were of the mind it was not a threat as all the gun owning lunatics are Trump fans.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:19 pm Shit just hit the fan for the USSS.

Apparently they had it right according to the lad's attire, favorite YouTube Channel, etc. Apparently he was looking into Biden's schedule as well. Nut job out for his 15 minutes. He had to be pretty deluded if he thought this wasn't going to end in his needing a casket.

I watch Demolition Ranch from time to time, I take it to be a bit of fun. In no way does it have any political connotations, at least none that I've noticed. The bloke that runs out is a vet (as in veterinarian) and has other YouTube stuff which features that side of his life.

Ditto, even have a couple Demo Ranch shirts from when Matt first opened up Bunker Branding.Pirahna wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 11:12 amI watch Demolition Ranch from time to time, I take it to be a bit of fun. His other channel, formally Off the Ranch and now just called Matt Carriker, is top entertainment, from buying and refurbishing an abandoned mansion, modifying cars, bunker branding etc etc. to his latest endeavour of buying and trying to refurbish and open an abandoned holiday resort.

Just a thought on why the SS didn't "shoot first" - maybe (and I have no idea if this is true or not) they have a legal policy that doesn't actually allow them to shoot until fired upon?
The loss of tracking of a suspect within the crowds, and the story that apparantly a police officer poked his head up over the edge of that building and saw the shooter well before the shooter opened* up speaks to me of sheer incompetence at all levels of the "law-enforcement" side of things

from here : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd167v5lpq2oA local officer with the Butler Township Police Department attempted to check the roof. He was hoisted up by another officer when he "made visual contact with an individual who pointed a rifle at him", Butler Township Manager Tom Knights told CBS.

I would doubt that very much, I would imagine they have similar policies in place to the police.Rockburner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 11:40 am Just a thought on why the SS didn't "shoot first" - maybe (and I have no idea if this is true or not) they have a legal policy that doesn't actually allow them to shoot until fired upon?
What did cross my mind was that I can imagine the secret service meeting when trump was voted out.
‘Right, first team to move from working with trump to working with Biden’
‘ I now need some volunteers to move to trumps protection unit …’

Biden will be gone by the end of this month ... pure hunch, nothing more.

Bizarrely I heard criticism of Trump wearing a bandage for dramatic effect. FFS he's just had a bullet rip his ear, do they really think he's going to walk around with an open wound!
Trump gets shot and rises from the ground with blood on his face and punches the air in defiance. Biden gets covid and cancels all engagements. I reckon the democrats will be carrying Trump into the Whitehouse on a palanquin at this rate!
