In a very retro way, I quite like that.

It's not an RC30.

It's an old Viffer made to look like one, but they've done a pretty good job.

This restomod VF1000 turned up on my FB feed earlier,it's got some Aprilia parts fitted.I think it's the best looking VF1000 I've seen, not that I've seen a VF/VFR1000 in recent years...

Very nicely done, but I do wonder why he didn't use a VFR as the base for the project; far better frame design, much lower weight and a motor that is so much better and more reliable than the VF that it's not even in the same postcode.

 It was only the VF750 that was really troubled with camshaft problems, the 1000 and 500 didn't seem to have the same issues. The VF1000R had gear driven cams of course but they all suffered by association with the VF750F. Guess which one I had🙄

I'm sure the later models were better bikes to own,but I always thought that the early VF750 was the best looking of the V4 Honda's & the silouhette of that one up there reminds me of the early bike.

He's certainly thrown some good 'Priller bits at it - Ohlins forks, Oz wheels, Brembo radial calipers and discs, RSV banana swingarm. It certainly should handle and stop well.

An old mate of mine spent gazillions doing just this... his deal was that whatever his wife spent on her new horse, he could spend the same amount on his bike.

It was lovely.

A mate had a VF500, it was shit to ride, but it was better than the VF400.

Spotted out and about last night. I couldn't really stop and take better pictures, but clearly someone had cherished/restored it.

I was also wearing my official matching Seiko just by chance yesterday. Couldn't set the phone to take a better photo of that either

A guy put this up on FB proudly saying it's just back from the paint shop.

Oooh. He got a lot of flak :obscene-birdiedoublered:
