Like Jo Cox?
That wasn't politics, it was murder.
Politically motivated murder, mind.

Was it Steve Buscemi got randomly punched in the face the other week? Bizarre. There seems a small part of the population that think that because they don't like somebody in the public eye, it's ok to have a go should they get the chance.

If you don't agree with the NF (see what I did there?), then don't vote for him.

I actually had a bit more respect for him after that incident.

It would be interesting if we could vote, on a weekly basis, for a politician to be egged / milkshaked / gunged / cabbaged. It might inspire a bit of humility and restraint.

Would you accept it if done to you?
That's rather missing the point - I'm not an attention-seeking populist demagogue. Also, my comment was not intended to be entirely serious.
Ummmm is it ? Is it really ? So if you're attention seeking you can be assaulted without consequence ? WTF. No wonder this world is full of nutters.
If you read my words I didn't say it was without consequence, more that Farage seems to attract this kind of unwanted attention by the very nature of his Marmite persona. It would help if folks responded to what I actually said, rather than what they wished I'd said.

MAybe if you made your point a little more clearly we wouldn't have the issue. I've read it again and it still makes no context in the context you're now saying it's supposed to be.

All I was saying is that it's become a common coccurrence for Farage to get milkshaked. How many times has it happened? At least 3 that I can recall. I didn't pass judgement or say it was a good or bad thing, I just gently took the piss. Isn't that what this forum is about?

This is what I wrote. It's merely an observation (intended to be taken lightheartedly) that Farage seems to attract that kind of behaviour. There is no judgement involved. How anyone can make this some kind of incitement is beyond me.

It's not meant seriously, although in the interest of science I think it would be hugely valuable to see how many Milkshakes it would take for Farage to shut his effing piehole. And the impact of switching from Banana to Strawberry without warning obviously. We're British and not the Taliban after all, this isn't exactly waterboarding.

I dont think its about Farage at all. It's the typical hate-filled overreaction from the far left.

He polarises opinions in very much the same way his best buddy Trump does. In the USA they use guns to show their displeasure, in the UK it's milkshakes.

I've been displeased with Rishi Sunak for the last two years, I'm currently displeased with Sir Kneelalot Starmer. I haven't (yet) had the urge to throw a milkshake at either of them. Is there something wrong with me?

That's like saying women shouldn't wear 'revealing' clothing because it invites sexual violence.

Yes, possibly. You have failed to mention Liz Truss.
