What MTB tyre?

I've got a wicked will on the rear of the canyon and judging by the number of wet patches, there must be about 15 little holes in it and it's gonna have to go in the bin. But what to replace it with?
I really don't know sod all about tyres, especially the xc type.
It's fast rolling and grippy enough for what I want but it seems that the carcass is just not up to the job.

I use the bike mainly on gravel, fire road, hard pack singletrack and the occasional loamy dh so don't want anything draggy.

I was kind of 'meh' on mtb tryes until recently, had a nightmare day at FOD which was according to the experts (Weeksy) down to crap tyres, he advised Continental Argotal, front Kryptotal rear.
How much!?!?!!
A deal was found, tyres fitted, wow, revelation, grip everywhere, seem to be lasting well, too.

With motorbike tyres I ring up the garage and he tells me what he's going to fit, he's a biker, knows his onions and has got it right every time.

What I've found out so far, the scorpions, there's about 40 different variants. Far too complicated for my little brain working on my phone with shit reception.
Every review I've read of the argotal and kryptotal say they're grippy as fuck at the expense of rolling speed, so when it comes to replacing the tyres on the ebike they'll be right up there, they sound perfect and if the boss says they're good for the fod that's good enough for me ,
The Xynotal looks promising though as does the maxxis recon.
Will see what offers I can find.

Which Carcass is/was it…? Super Race? Super Ground? Super Trail?

If, as I suspect, it was a Super Race… Then replace it with a tougher carcass version (Super Trail is the toughest carcass the Wicked Will comes in).

Was it still holding air ok though? At the end of the day, this is why we run tubeless sealant inside our tyres…

Which Carcass is/was it…? Super Race? Super Ground? Super Trail?

If, as I suspect, it was a Super Race… Then replace it with a tougher carcass version (Super Trail is the toughest carcass the Wicked Will comes in).

It's a super ground and yes, it is holding air well enough that I'll only top it up every couple of weeks.

TBH I'm getting so confused with so many options I've not done anything, and I'm even getting to the point of questioning if prioritising XC fast rolling type is really the right way and should I really be looking at slightly more trail, but then I'm reading about the Michelin force Am2 which looks like it could fit the bill for front and back. I've got the e-wild fitted to the cannondale e-bike and I really quite like them.

but I'll probably just sit here reading for weeks on end until the tyre pops and is totally buggered and I'm forced into doing something

Just top the sealant up @Taff, it’s doing/done its job nicely…

I once had a customer come and complain to me that “this tubeless rubbish isn’t all its cracked up to be” after he’d been let down by a flat tyre 3 miles from home and had to get his missus to come and pick him up… This was some 3 months after I’d set it up for him, but I was keen to appease him so told him to leave it with me…

I pulled 41 individual hawthorns out of the tread of his Hans Dampf tyre… The tubeless sealant had sealed the first 40 no problems, but by that point it had all run dry…

I refitted the tyre after removing all the thorns, put some more sealant in (double the dose of normal, owing to 41 individual holes in it), pumped it up, span it a few times, and they all sealed and it held air and he rode it home, eating his words about the effectiveness of tubeless!

No point in replacing a perfectly good tyre with an inferior product for the sake of it!

this there is the problem, with such a huge choice, who knows what is the betterer products are?
one person's perfection is another's nightmare unless we can find that goldilocks tyre that has no rolling resistance, superb grip, superb protection and lasts forever.
