Rocker Red GT 650
has arrived.
Spurred on by @dern purchase and in need of a little more speed, the gt 650 has landed.
The 500 trails was a great bimble machine but sometimes lacked a bit of pace, this on the other hand is perfect. 5k brand spanker, got 3.5k for the 500, thats 100 more than I paid, so 1500 to pay, no brainer in my book.
Just done 50 odd miles and very happy indeed. More weight on wrists which I wanted, no shoulder blade pain which I did get in the 500 Slouch. Peg position is nice for me, 5 9, gears silky smooth and best of all, I like the stock exhaust note. Been looking at many options on the tube, but these are fine, but you never know, weight and stuff.
Mirrors are fine, brakes fine, suspension fine. Fuel gauge and trips are nice. The seat looks ok I think, was looking at a bump single jobby, but I can chuck a bag on the back seat for those few essentials.
The Rocker red is 5k as i said and prices do increase a little on colour choice . Apparently, these bikes were 6.5k last year, so a good price it is, compared to most other brands out there. Got a few pic's but nothing scenic, started raining soon as I left the house, did stop after a while and i was dry by the time I got home.

Re: Rocker Red GT 650
I was looking at Indian options like powerage for 210 ish, but now I've heard it I'm not too bothered. Not too bothered about weight saving tbh, but things can change and do quite frequently.

Looks like a lotta new bike for 5 bags. There's an open day at my local RE dealer next week,if the weather is reasonable I might sniff around.

Re: Rocker Red GT 650
Nice- much cooler than the Bollywood special
And in all seriousness, exactly the sort of thing the Ixies love, albeit I'm guessing it won't be going?
Anyway, good choice IMO

Yep... I get what you're saying, but I doubt it'll be fully shaken by then, and I think these need a bit more loving.

Re: Rocker Red GT 650
Well..what a lovely day that was. 175 miles and probably 50 too many. 9.30 departure, Wales bound. Through the Tanat Valley to Bala, then on to my favourite road towards Ffestiniog, looping down through Harlech and lunch on Barmouth front.
Got chatting to a lovely old fella who was waiting for his wife to get her hair done, was a jet pilot instructor. Instructed at Valley and various places around the world, fascinating chap, lives up the coast from Barmouth. Roy Gamblin and his book is called Adventures in Aviation. He finished his service in the Harrier, practise was done in helicopters for vertical take offs, much cheaper he says.
Anyway...
The Red Rocker was superb. Fits me just fine, enjoyed the twisty bits and no comfort issues other than what would be expected on any other bike after 175m.
Weather was brilliant, roads were fairly quiet , apart from the retired bikers of coarse.

Proper T? Proper T is theft.
(According to Pierre-Joseph Proudhon apparently. I always thought it was Karl Marx).

Re: Rocker Red GT 650
I swapped the standard pads out for some ebc hh pads and it’s absolutely transformed the brakes.
