The Trough of Bowland is probably one of the most beautiful places in the UK,
I want my ashes scattering there!
One of my favourite places on the planet & it's less than a hour away  There's a bleakness about the place even when the sun's shining.

This 'summer' is definitely curtailing my riding and not only me judging by lack of riding posts generally. I had a heavy night Friday so Saturday's rubbish weather didn't bother me too much but I couldn't go out early Sunday which was the only small window of good weather before a late morning monsoon. Doesn't look like we are getting a summer again this year.

Last week my mates & I were commenting about this. It's just not been happening this year.
IF we had a decent Spring I would have been camping in Scotland in May,it never happened, also we still haven't gone to mid Wales for a few days camping we've hardly had a 3 day dry spell all year.Yesterday around here waslovely & sunny but it's blowing a gale & lashing down again today.
On a bit of a tangent,I should have been in France & Belgium in late May & June but I got Covid a couple of days before I was due to catch the ferry
I'm now pinning my hopes on a good Autumn like we had a couple of years ago.

If I hadn't of done 650 odd miles to the West country last month my riding mileage this year would be rubbish. As it is it's still bad compared to normal.

First dry day after two days of relentless pish. Good to get out from the 4 walls.

Next scheduled ride is the 21st. Temps will still be around 110deg, so bugger that idea. I'm gonna show up, but in the F350.

The 21st? 10 days

Will you do hard drugs in the meantime to help the withdrawal symptoms?

It's been over 110deg for the past week. Forecast for the 21st is 108.

I'd have to emigrate to more temperate climes. :P

Out early. Due to last night's mass celebrations, the roads were empty. I was riding nearly an hour before I encountered a car on my side of the road. Bliss. The downside was it was barely into double figures temperature wise. Heated gear on for the 3 hour ride.

I came across this in Armoy. :D

That's the thing, I'm a bit of a fussy bugger. Ideal riding temp for me is 15-25c. I need to find somewhere that's those temps 9 months of the year with not loads of rain and I'd be laughing. Above 25c is too hot for bike kit, that's shorts and flip flops weather.

No pics as the weather was forecast for showers from 11 so I didn't waste time for pics. Lovely run up to Heybridge, Abberton, Tiptree to Kelvedon for breaky and coffee before home via Chelmsford and the Rodings. Good 115 miles with some warm weather for a change. Hasn't rained yet but lots of dark clouds.

Take it as a win, though you've automatically been docked points for the pic omission. :(

Just done 3 hour enduro. Bleeding knackered :obscene-birdiedoublered:

This is half way up. Then path goes up to the towers. Looks easy but steep as buggery so need momentum & speed. That makes it going straight a bit of a problem :D
