Re: What have you done today thread?
Had a flying visit from one of Gremlinette's ex-boyfriends. Really nice young lad, doing really well in his job as a set builder for exhibitions, etc. He brought around a load of stupidly expensive shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc for Gremlinette* from the last job he'd done. Found out it was him dropped a load of Nespresso stuff outside our house a few weeks ago, too. He was doing something for both Breitling and Rolls Royce recently, but alas, no freebies there.
He back off to Ibiza soon as he's now involved in building nightclub sets at Pascha, as well as the exhibition stuff, and will be in charge of the company out there for 8 months. Really nice to a see him doing well and clearly loving life.
*Think there's still a hint of a candle burning.

Wifey got caught by a camera van in Wales and did her speed awareness course from a campsite in Spain. Apparently it was my fault she got caught, I should have told her to slow down.
She got caught again last year by a camera on a French motorway, just a fine for that one. I was asleep in the passenger seat at the time but seem to have escaped the blame.

Had a brain fart is what I did...
Decided to just hose the dust off the SBH & it ended up looking worse than when I started. Bugger.
Had to wash the entire car...Double bugger
It was already 103deg out there at 9.30am, Triple bugger.

Had to take down a dead conifer today & found this in the aftermath.
I felt lousy for having disturbed it. Relocated it as close as I could to where I think it came from.
Beautiful looking little thing.

Morbid I know, but where do they bury dead people on the island. Our cemeteries are on the west side as it's sandy and not peat.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I went to meet a friend on his route back to resort from Nice. He did most of the route des alpes today.
I met him in Valloires, we rode back over the Col du Telegraphe back down too the valley the other side, then back up (for me!) and over the Col de la Madeleine. Stopped and had coffee at the top then back down to the valley I know and up to resort.
He's got an Africa Twin and Bloody hell they are big!! He's got to go to Geneva tomorrow to to fly back to Nice to pick up their car, so I got to ride the Africa Twin when we got back cos it looks like I'm going pillion to GVA to bring the bike back!! It was an interesting ride - not ideal arm position for the spazziness, but I figure that if I can ride it after almost six hours of riding up and down twisty mountain roads, then I can do the ride back from GVA to La Plagne!! LOL
It'll make the CBF feel very small afterwards!
This is the route I took today - there and back

Re: What have you done today thread?
Spent miserable hours in lashing rain driving middle son to Dublin airport, then miserable hours driving home again. I hate driving at the best of times and today wasn't one of those.
I fucking hate goodbyes too.

Today I mostly learned about 'Memorial Record Tubes' after playing about with a coffin and wondering what the hell they'd need a test tube / vial for.
