And, finally, the US goes back to having the absolute control of royalty that their very existence was intended to avoid.

They just need an evil dictator to come along now to really take advantage of it...

At least there's no religious extremists to take advantage of it.

It could be that or they could be trying to stop corrupt parts of the judiciary making up their own laws to attack political figures.

Not entirely sure people get to make up their own laws. They tend to be written down 😀

Now Bragg has delayed Trumps sentencing for the book keeping irregularities until a week after the next debate. It was going to be next week.

Federal agencies could interpret laws how they wished and nobody was allowed to question it, to me that sounds like they were making up the law.

The court decided in 1984 that judges should defer to federal agencies in interpreting ambiguous parts of statutes.

The word "Federal" kinda matters though...they're all arms of the same thing, s'not like Federal agencies are private companies or something.

Besides, all Laws are made up ;)

Over here HMRC is great example, they love to reinterpret tax law. They like to take the piss and have often been told by the court they are acting illegally.
Or how about not being able to challenge Post Office decisions?

Sure, agencies of all stripes get it wrong all the time. If they didn't we wouldn't even need Courts in this context.

That doesn't automatically mean an agency being able to interpret laws and how to apply them is evidence of a greater plot or overarching goal/trend. To a large extent HMRC have to be able to interpret the law (which I'm guessing they also had a major hand in writing?) to be able to do their jobs. Any 'specialist' agency does because real life applications of the law are never as straightforward as the written word.

Yes sometimes they take the piss...but then again, the very fact Courts have told them they're taking the piss also demonstrates some degree of check and balance.

That checking wasn't available in the states, it's what they have now corrected.

The melt down among Democrats this week has been spectacular. Here's an example from an ex-pat Brit (after he posted a pic of the entrance to Auschwitz):
oh wait aren't you one of the people that fully supports the Trump wanting to hang people from trees again? I mean are you one of the people that still mad that Trump didn't become a dictator and you don't know anything about white supremacy in our in America and you definitely don't know what a theocracy is right? You're one of those right cuz it's way worse here than any other Nation but you're a white guy with plenty of money so you don't have to care or have knowledge or have human feelings or anything as long as you got a lot of money you're good to go
From the same TDS victim:
are are you actually British? If you are did you grow up at any point in your life in England and get educated back home?
And if you did I don't know how old you are but when you were a kid did you never talk to anybody family friends he put a pub walking around the seniors who will talk your ears off for hours about World War II? And how the idiots all said this never happened we're not going to go there Hitler won't invade Europe it's not that bad this war is not really causing a problem.
I and of course the all-time Classic this won't really affect us. Because if you are actually a citizen of the UK and you don't know any of that of our history that's probably why you have no clue what's actually happened in America.
& just yesterday, Biden claimed to be "America's first black female President"

They're airing clips from the interview that will air later tonight. Biden was asked if he watched a recording of the debate. He paused, mumbled something & then said "I don't think so".

I saw the clips of the head to head debate and even Trump looked (almost) sympathetic when Joe stopped rambling and Trump said he didn't understand his (Bidens) last sentence but didn't think Joe did either!

Biden seems to be going downhill rapidly and clearly isn't fit to hold office. WTF is he being allowed to continue his campaign???

You know the way a President can only serve 2 terms? Is that consecutively or in total?

In total.

Odds on Trump, if he's elected, trying to get another constitutional amendment to overturn the 22nd? ;)

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

I doubt if he'd try, it's a pretty high bar:
"The amendment process is very difficult and time consuming: A proposed amendment must be passed by two-thirds of both houses of Congress, then ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the states..."

There's an (edited) video showing Biden ignoring a black gal in the line to meet him & she looks about to cry.

Dem's promptly put out their own edited video showing him hugging her... but that was AFTER he'd been told to go back & correct his screw up.
