Great day.
So happy to see the Conservatives crash, especially Mogg and Truss.

Also interesting that's it's being mentioned that Labour lost 4 seats specifically due to the Palestine stance.
Yeah. Not really getting that.

What do these people expect of the U.K. government? We don't really have much sway in the way Israel executes its domestic policy.

U.K. Govt.: Come on, Israel. Knock it on the head in Gaza, yeah?

Israeli govt.: No.

U.K. Govt.: Oh. O.K. then.

Or might it take a bit longer?
Should be good for a while, well until these run out...

Why on earth it is an election issue in the when education, health, the economy, infrastructure , corruption, social mobility, wealth distribution, pot holes, food prices, post Brexit Britain are all much bigger issues. And things that a government can do something about.
Palestine and Israel - they can't.

In fairness, it was a very quiet handshake. ;)

Regarding 'the palestinian issue', Gorgeous George lost his seat.He only won it in February,I wonder how long the other MP's who stood on a Pro-Palestine ticket will fare?

If I did vote, which I didn't, No Likey - No Votey, I would probably consider the Green or maybe Reform party. I think these two parties are supported by folk who want what's best for the climate/country , instead of what's best for me. 🤔

Pretty much, the environment/country are low down on both of their priority lists.

Not just one vote, but there have been some pretty close results so a majority of 1 vote is not impossible, in fact, it's probably already happened. I could only find results going back to 2010. Also, I'm sure I've seen reports of local elections where the vote count has been equal and the winner determined by a coin toss or drawing lots. Anyway, here are a couple of close results:

https://electionresults.parliament.uk/g ... 3/majority
UK general election on 8 June 2017, North East Fife, GETHINS, Stephen, SNP, Majority 2

https://electionresults.parliament.uk/g ... 1/majority
UK general election on 6 May 2010, Fermanagh and South Tyrone GILDERNEW, Michelle SF Majority 4
This popped up today:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cz9x7dz79qyo
The seats won by fewer than 100 votes
Hendon was top of the list with a 15 vote difference.

Plus tue whole "they never win by one seat" thinking is fundamentally daft.

Everyone only gets one vote, that's how it works.

If EVERYONE adopts a "my vote doesn't matter" thought they'd make themselves correct. You end up with a minority who care strongly about one thing or another running the show, rather than a (usually) more sensible majority.

Your logic is wrong. If EVERYONE adopted the "my vote doesn't matter" idea and therefore doesn't vote, each candidate would get zero votes. I have no idea how that would be resolved.

Candidates would probably (if they remembered their ID vote for themselves ;)
