Talking of international travel within Europe, do I need a Passport to go to Ireland? I know there is no 'hard border' within Ireland, but I will be going direct from the UK to Eire.
No you don’t. You will need some sort of photo ID for however you wish to travel there though - they may want a passport for that.

In case anyone doesn't know about ees, here's a link to the EU website. https://travel-europe.europa.eu/ees/gen ... rmation_en After a number of years delay it is intended to start in October but how it's going to work still isn't clear in some places of entry.
So not all countries using the system are in the EU and not all EU countries use the system. That's all clear then.

I'm guessing the French are behind this act of unnecessary bureaucracy!

Cyprus and Ireland won't be using it. Oddly they're both islands with a rather controversial border on/in.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Yeah blame the french. Remember you are a tory voter with your love of trickle down economics.
Also you left the EU, no one forced you. Live with the consequences.

Eire have the good friday agreement, and cyprus has an invaded part by Turkey. That no country in the world accepts as a valid occupation.
