Re: What have you done today thread?
So far today I've watched the sun rise over the sea ( @ 04:38 ) and been for a 4 Hour motorcycle ride, I ate breakfast in Cromer where the beach looked lovely, and then rode home.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Took a big tumble on the enduro ride, so came home early in pain.
Trundling along the side of small ravine and left knee hit a big rock and sent us off and me and bike fell quite a way down. First though is how far we're gonna fall and what we gonna hit.
I got off lucky and all the armour saved us.
Tricky ground and took the others a while to find us. I couldn't move bike as it was upside down on the slope and hurt my shoulder.
Luckily only few miles from home.
Still wobbly as was scary

Re: What have you done today thread?
Did a quiz night last.
The acoustics in the hall were dreadful. PA was either too quiet or too echo-y.
The projector failed.
My voice went due to the man-flu.
Subsequently found out one of my questions was technically incorrect, and I bloody hate that.
But we raised £1,500 for a good cause and I got to eat homemade sausage rolls, so all good I suppose.

Wandering around Alicante.
It's nice and hot and every five yards is a loitering, quaffing or nibbling opportunity. That's all you need to know really.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Up late at 7am. Breakfast. Prayers, then walked the dog. Out to do the shopping (friends over tomorrow after the services). Then cleaning up the house.... lots of cleaning!! Going our to walk the hound later on this afternoon, when things are a bit cooler. Rather warm at the moment. I'll get the hat out. Sorted out funeral details for a funeral in 12 days, sorted out the music, got organist lined up and testing system tomorrow for person doing the eulogy. Not much else to do on that front. Connected new hearing aid to the computer with a Bluetooth phoneclip thing. Enjoying the clearer audio, getting used to the difference in sound and have an appointment in the not too distant future to fine tune things. Oticon hearing aids are still top flight instruments.

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I've reclaimed my garage. Been doing a lot of decorating and maintenance on the villa and the mancave had become a workshop and I hated all the mess and no worktop visible.
Even washed the floor. (Seems it needs repainting soon.)
Harmony is restored.

Wife and I both have passed our RYA skipper tickets.

Re: What have you done today thread?
It was yesterday but I went on a vineyard tour at Thorrington Mill. A really enjoyable, informative couple of hours. The vineyard itself is a beautiful place and should you ever find yourself on the Brightlingsea road one sunny weekend, stop by and have a glass of something. I recommend their Bacchus.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I have coughed. Then coughed some more. A whole load more.
A really dry, hacking cough.
Getting on my tits, frankly. And I feel grim. Wondering if I've got a touch of the covid.

Can the seal be changed in situ,or do the cases need split?

Re: What have you done today thread?
Just pull out and push new one in.For one horrible moment I thought the latter.
The front sprocket didn’t want to come off so I resorted to winding 2 bolts through the holes in the sprocket to push it off which worked but was pushing against the seal and not the crankcase, distorting the oil seal behind.

I have a Kawasaki tool to take the ballache out of holding the front sprocket to loosen. I'd say it could be used on other makes too.

Did you watch it to the end? It's only on commentary when the commentators get over excited that I REALLY wish I'd tried SLG's Austrian site to listen in English!!!
Still not 100% sure what the outcome was on all the dodgy/not-dodgy overtakes!! Bit sad it ended like it did, but probably better than it being a bad crash!!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Did he get any penalty as well? I wasn't sure if Norris got a penalty or not, the French commentators were so excited about it all that the producer seemed to tell them to speak slower cos they did actually comment that they needed to speak slower so I don't think anyone understood But, even when they'd slowed it was too quick for me! Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to have a look at another 'nickel' car today
Audi A4 Avant. It was right at the top end of the budget but you can't go wrong with an Audi can you!
Unless of course somebody has spilt a tin of paint in the boot!
