Re: Glastonbury
I went off the whole idea a few years ago.
The thought of the hippy festival being headlined by JayZ.
Most of his "songs" are him boasting about how much money he has.
That was how you could tell that its lost what it was and what it now is, isn't nice.

Re: Glastonbury
The Bald Beast used to go, and always over the fence. I think he enjoyed that part as much as anything. One time he found an entry ticket on the floor and sold it for good money within five minutes.

Rap mags try and use my black ass, so advertisers can give 'em more cash for ads, fuckers. I don't know what you take me as or understand the intelligence that Jay-Z has, I'm from rags to riches, n*****s, I ain't dumb; I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one.

Re: Glastonbury
It seems to be full of trustafarians. And wannabe hippies. Maybe I'm getting old but all of the acts seem either rubbish or have beens who are milking it

Re: Glastonbury
By accident, I watched the Sugababes. Wow. I enjoyed it.
But I'd hate to be in the audience behind hundreds of flags blocking the view.
HTF do they get past security?

Re: Glastonbury
Glastonbury town council signed a pledge to drive out any vegan businesses by last year, Worthy farm isn't affected because it's not in Glastonbury.
It seems the idea was later binned, there might have been some objection to shutting down businesses to score political points.

Re: Glastonbury
I thought it was a pretty shit affair this year. Only watched one headline, and that wasn't for musical reasons.

Re: Glastonbury
Just watched....
Cyndi Lauper. Still pleasing on the eye at 71, but poor performance.
Shania Twaine. Wow for 58. And can still sing.

I thought most of it was shite but Alvvays were great
(Smiths inspired jangly guitar with female vocal if your not familiar with them). Been a fan ever since my youngest moved to Canada
Michael Kiwanuka was great too.
