Friday thread.. the HEATWAVEEEEEEEEE !
Still summer then
Fri is chilling and bike sorting after being out racing last night. Then it's PROM for the boy.. his first big social and with his girlfriend/not-girlfriend/maybe-girlfriend. Me and Mrs Weeksy may go out for bees and food.
Sat the boy and wife are likely out riding, so i'm out solo for a sun and beer chill ride.
Sun no plans at the moment.

I'm away in my campervan for the weekend. Kids bought me a ticket for a wine tasting event for my birthday, so i'm attending that tomorrow morning. Hopefully my daughter and s-i-l are coming over Sunday as there is a singer at the harbourside bar, so i'll treat them to lunch and we can spend a hopefully sunny afternoon there. Monday up early to be home for a teams meeting at 11!

Probably do an oil change on the GS, might to the Bullet too.
I might even brave IKEA for a desk.

I'm on call so nothing exciting.
I am visiting a lovely friend in the morning who I've not seen for a while so lots of laughs and gossip.
The bike needs a clean and I'll do some shopping, cooking and eating.

Currently on a train to THAT London, next leg is out towards Amersham to pick up a new to me car*. I’m hoping it is exactly as advertised as I’ve been up since 5am. Next job will be drive home, possibly pop into York Designer Outlet for a mooch around.
Tomorrow, assuming I don’t continue to feel lousy (had sore throat for most of the week), continue with the DIY projects around the house, take the dog out for a run, possibly swim then take the new car for a spin and go and see the daughters.
Sunday, more of the above DIY shizz and usual mundane chores in preparation for the week ahead at work.
* I’ll post photos later if I remember / CBA

Fri; Dog walks, MTB, mow front lawn, I’d done the whole no mow thing but it’s getting embarrassing as everyone else, including the council have cut theirs. Thai takeaway tonight.
Working Sat and Sun night.

Re: Friday thread.. the HEATWAVEEEEEEEEE !
Well, the phone weather forecast suggests it might not be very sunny tomorrow and Sunday, but I'm choosing to be positive! LOL
So, today, I have phsyio at 11.30 - hot physio, muscles getting beaten up, and lots of laughs So that will be cool !! Not sure that I'll do a lot after that - won't bike cos I'll need to let the muscles recover for the physio! Going to walk around the snow front (not-snow front right now!) cos some friends should be around to set up for this weekend's opening. Since I don't do MTB, the resort being open only means that I get to have more places to go rather than just one!! But at least there might be more people around to chat with!! LOL
Saturday - will get up early and if it's sunny I'll head up a mountain on the bike!
Sunday - like Saturday!
I definitely need to get some better summer gear, so will spend some time trawling the internet to see if I can find something decent enough that isn't painfully expensive!!

Today I shall say my farewells and prepare for the afterlife, for I am stricken by....MAN FLU.
If I survive today I am tasked with hosting a charity* quiz night for about 150 braying people this evening.
This weekend: sweet FA.
*I don't like to talk about my charity work but it's all over my Facebook page if you want to look.

Re: Friday thread.. the HEATWAVEEEEEEEEE !
Wedding today, (not mine, my gf's nephew).
The bride thought it would be a good idea to get everyone together for drinks the night before, so we all got hammered last night, now we're all girding ourselves to do it all again.
I think it's a cunning plan to make sure nothing too untoward happens to upset the day ..... I plan to challenge that..

No heatwave occuring around West Lancs & it's been blowing a gale all night. At least it's not raining.
Today I'll nip to my mates garage & pick up a pair of SV650 throttle cables that I ordered for my SV650X handlebar conversion,(the standard bike has longer cables).
Tomorrow is the start of Le Tour,so I'll nip out early for a post covid pushbike ride then watch Le Tour all day.
Sunday More of Le Tour.

It's all about the Saturday this weekend, because favourite daughter is getting married and I'm supposed to be there all day,or something.
I'd say Sunday will be a quiet day!

Off with my mob to Kessingland for a caravan park weekend. Folks are coming too. So it'll be mooching about Suffolk by day and few beers in the evening. Lovely.
