Not genuine Crocs no, but I did buy a pair of ultra cheap similarly styled shoes for traipsing about when camping in Madagascar.
Cut down old wellies are my usual quick schlep outdoors footwear. Oversized too so I can wear them with neoprene footed waders.
One day peasant chic will be a thing.

we went on a university visit with 'MiniTaff' a few months ago and I was amazed at the number of youth that were wandering around campus on a saturday afternoon wearing crocs and socks

I have a pair of old Vans trainers that I've trodden the backs down on - they are my perfect garden shoes

I've literally just got back from visiting another campsite and there were several tour operators staff wearing them and saying how much they like them.
For me though. I see Crocs like I see football team shirts. I just cannot take an adult seriously if they dress like that in public !?

Same for me. Boots unless I'm in the shower or bed.

Still got tread on them! (Mine haven't and they're lethal on a damp patio or decking ).

You can customize your crocs aswel, follow these simple steps below...
1..Go to the draw with all the bits and bobs in.
2.. Locate the drawing pins.
3.. Insert into thick ends, toe and heel.
4..Go to tiled floor in the kitchen and pretend you are Roy Castle.
Congratulations, you have now successfully completed your first croc customization. Enjoy.

I'm not sure the ironing is even the silliest partPotter wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 5:20 am I didn't have an iron at my UK house and had to run out and hurriedly buy one when I had a black tie event that evening and didn't have time to take my shirt to the dry cleaners, it struck me as ridiculous that I'd been ironing out creases all those years and not thinking how silly it was.

I’m not interested in fashion.
Yes, I’ve worn crocs when working at hospitals. They’re very comfortable for long shifts…and easy to clean.
I have a pair of knock off crocs (even more of a crime?) that sit at the back door that I use for gardening.
Both use cases for practicality

Ties are a bit anyway. (I used to have quite a collection - I now have 4. Nice one for matchings and hatchings, black one for despatchings and 2 black bow ties, one on elastic and one 'proper' one....in case I get a job as a bouncer or concierge. ).Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 6:52 amI'm not sure the ironing is even the silliest partPotter wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 5:20 am I didn't have an iron at my UK house and had to run out and hurriedly buy one when I had a black tie event that evening and didn't have time to take my shirt to the dry cleaners, it struck me as ridiculous that I'd been ironing out creases all those years and not thinking how silly it was.

I quite like wearing a suit, shirt and tie etc when the need arises actually, but it seldom does
