I'm only watching it because I've got Georgia in the sweepstake. I can't believe they're winning, Portugal have all the possession and a million shots on goal.
I'll swap to that then because the other one is shite

What would have happened if Dallot's shot had gone in and ref awarded the goal, then the VAR check was called and penalty given?

Best match I've seen in this competition.

Bonus that I have Georgia in the office sweepstake!

The Georgia v Turkey game ess a belter too. The best two games of the tournament (in my eyes) so far, both featured Georgia.

I hope Southgate and the whole squad were watching this, and learnt a few lessons....

Weird though isn't it. Year after year, tournament after tournament we see 1 or 2 teams do 'this' in terms of how they play, perform, battle, the ultimately progress and gain respect. But it's very rarely (never?) one of our home nations. I guess the closest home nation is Wales, who are not blessed with a great squad but you do see them play with a lot of passion and pace time and time again. It doesn't often work out for them, but they're far better value for entertainment.

I was saying to the missus that, Scotland aside, this group stage has seen some really resilient performances from the 'lesser' teams.

England footballers will not be voting in the July 4th General Election.

They couldn't find the box let alone put a cross into it.

I guess that sorting out all the other issues would take too much time and effort.

Couple of local derby games today.

The Swiss Italy match was being shown in the pub I was in last night. Any views on the quality of play? I know very little about it and have even less interest in watching if I can avoid it but I'm curious to know if either side played well or badly.

From what I saw, the Swiss were rather good* and made the Italians look surprisingly mediocre.

* played like a side where the players had actually met each other before, had a plan, been coached together and applied the plan well.
