Having read the article, I'm a 
None of what they've done makes it better at what the original Africa Twin was good at and using the modern one just makes it a styling exercise for a big traillie style road bike. Increasing the fuel capacity by 0.5 litres doth not a Paris-Dakar bike make.
So, an 'all fur and no knickers' styling job. They haven't improved the bike.

The tank cover seems to have pushed the seat back almost to the rear axle.
Compare where the seat is.
Makes it look like a pit bike, and probably does interesting things to weight distribution. Or maybe it's needed to balance out those headlights!
