Had my prostate checked, all part of the investigation into wots up with me. Nice start to a week!!!
Pleased to say that so far it’s looking good, next step will tell.
After that, 2 sausage batches, Tesco c&c, coffee and cake.
Vacuum all the many leaves up in the garden, gf spoke to her mate to discover her and her hubby have COVID.
Then a relax, a walk along the cut, followed by the gf’s chilli, lovely!!
Now an evening of looking at bikes, heading firmly towards a new shape Trophy, then a cuddle before much needed sleep.
Have a brilliant evening all
Mick.

I had an frustrating exercise in patience..
Need plugs for the bike & some oil, already have a filter.
Plugs are NGK CR9EK's or CR9EIX's, oil is Mobil 1 MX4T
Go online to see who has the required items. O'Reilly's, Pepboys & Ghettozone all state they have all three in stock. All 3 stores are within 2 miles of the house so off I go.
O'Reilly's: We'd have to order those plugs & we don't have the oil in stock
Pepboys: "Truck is late, oil will be here later"... But they have both kinds of plug. I leave with 4 of the Iridium EIX's, I even get Veteran discount which basically covers the sales tax.
Ghettozone: They have the oil. I'm at the counter, drone is serving me. Ask of there's a Veteran discount, yes there is (woot!) Guy is having trouble figuring out how to apply it & while he's doing this the fucker answers the phone & starts serving that person who evidently doesn't even know what kind of goddamn car they drive... while I'm waiting at the card reader to pay for my oil & leave. After two minutes of listening to him basically instruct the idiot on the phone how to identify what kind of car they have I walked out without the oil. Life's too short.

Handed my notice in.

I actually feel really guilty as the people I work with are lovely, but onward and upwards!

Built a bridge. We've got permissive access to the National Trust common behind our house and the shonky old lashup of a bridge the previous owners put in over the draining ditch finally gave way the other week. With our puppy arriving from North Macedonia in the next couple of weeks I thought I better sort this out before the weather got really shit, and it was an excuse to buy the chopsaw I've had my eye on for a few months.

One of my pointless dreams is to have a house with bridge access.

After the slightly damp winter of 2013-14, estate agents have more trouble shifting riverside properties.

Mind you, I heard Paul Daniels interviewed, saying that his drive was flooded and he'd looked on Google for "hard core" :)

On my daily dander a film company has set up camp 10 minutes from my house. They are recording a television piece named 'The Awakening'. Apparently it's on the topic of women's emancipation. On International men's day of course. The fuckers just can't let us have one day,can they!

What's the bike in the second picture, and is it part of the film?

It was a Kawasaki,maybe a KLX?

I don't know if it was used in the flick,or belonged to one of the crew.

A great photo there Formula 400! Where is it?

My day? This afternoon I have sulked! I had my latest consultation with the Fracture Clinic who told me not to cycle outside for 12 weeks after the fracture happened. That date was the 29th August so it bars me from getting outside until December! Grrrr!!!
I must follow the advice otherwise they might resort to applying another cast or worse, re-operate if it is not healed fully by then! I have another consultation in two weeks and shall have to stick to my indoor turbo for the next 1-2 months as long as I stay in the saddle and am not putting weigh/pressure through my forearm!

I do still have many months before my main targets in competition start though so should be able to get fit enough one way or another by then!
Targets = The National Para-cycling time-trial championship again, hoping to improve on my 11th in 2017, 5th in 2018 and 6th in 2019. For the obvious COVID- reason there was no event held this year so we are all awaiting the date and place for the champs in 2021!
