Beggars belief
This was too good not to share.
We secured a new contract with a local company that maintains grass bankings, grass areas around pathways etc. They were with another place but weren’t happy with them.
So they bring me in this John Deere lawnmower that has transmission problems, the wheels keep locking up. They had put it in to the other place and were told it was needing a new gearbox and had quoted £600, so I said I’d have a look see what’s what.
Here’s the mower, this was after I had fixed it, washed etc.
And here’s the slip from the other place, and next to it is all that was wrong with it the nut had got jammed in between the gear on the rear wheel and the gear on the output shaft from the gearbox. They clearly hadn’t bothered their arse to look and just quoted for a gearbox. Madness. Someone must have left it in there when they’ve had the wheel off, put the wheel on replaced the nut and at some point it’s finally got jammed causing the problem.

This air filter has allegedly only been fitted for 30 miles by a KTM dealer.
They also missed 2 leaking fork seals and front pads at 1.4mm and a broken engine mount!

Are you a girl? As girls get charged more as they know nothing. Such as charging for a cabin filter and fitting of 1/2 hour labour when there isn't one. Also spark plugs that are 100km spark plugs that were changed 10k ago.Sadlonelygit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 5:14 pm This air filter has allegedly only been fitted for 30 miles by a KTM dealer.
