UEFA Euro 24

Post by Yorick »

We start today with the game against Serbia.

We lost in the final last time and think this time we can win it if the big players do their stuff.

Scotland might not make the final ;) :D

Waddy reckon?

Some big teams aren't fancied by the Bookies.

If you believe the FIFA rankings, Belgium is worth a small punt.

I'm English but I only support Ingerland when they play Scotland.
It seriously pisses me off with the media banging on about them at every opportunity then showing all those pissed up fucktards bleating & crying into their beer when Ingerland get beat, you'd have thought they'd have got used to it by now.
However there's one massive redeeming feature to it all, when Ingerland are playing football the roads are empty, discovered this back in Euro 96 & it's been quiet roads ever since.
Now that's a result.

Isn't that just the odds in England from English bookies?

I just see that England are massively overhyped by the English media, who will then trash them when they (inevitably?) fail to win their games. Like they did in the loss against Iceland.

I've never really concentrated much before, but Bellingham is playing like Scholes & Gérard at their prime.

He's only 20 :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Bloody hate the football, but watched the second half, it's like trying the one sprout at Christmas, you know it's going to be crap but you have to try just in case something has changed.

Bunch over over paid jessies the lot, spent more time going backwards then attacking the opposition goal, and barely at a jog if that, falling over whenever a stiff breeze came along and doing performances / rolling on the ground that would have the local am dram society embarrassed.

So that's my watching the competition done for the year, and looks like 2 quid wasted in the office sweepstake.

Think they thought Jurgen klopp was their manager for the first half hour...then they remembered it was Gareth Southgate. 🥱

I'd say it was a reasonable first 30 minutes then they forgot why they were there.

They don't seem to understand the basics (but then a lot of teams in the Premiership suffer the same problem) - if you have possession, the other team can't score. Why are goalkeepers punting the ball up into the oppositions half when all it usually does is give the opposition possession?

Denmark will destroy them.

I think they'll be fine, opening game nerves. England do have a history of stuffing up the group stages on game #1. England are potentially as good as Germany but Serbia are no Scotland.
