I'd never heard of ETIAS until now. Do I need one when I to go to Spain in August?

Re: ETIAS needed for visits to the EU
Is this another of those "Everyone outside Europe" things?
And now we're outside Europe and realising we're not so special after all.
They'll be people pissing and moaning that "The EU is punishing us" like little bitches and writing into the Daily Mail to complain about the consequences of what those dumbasses voted for. I guess it must be embarrassing for em but they just apply some serious cognitive dissonance to the issue.

I'll tell the local tapas place to do jellied eels and extra cold shandy.

This is beginning to sound like an episode of 'Round the Horne' or 'Beyond our Ken' from the '60s. Jules and Sandy, anyone?

Well, at least pedantry is one step up from claiming to be the victim of decisions you voted for so things are looking up.Saga Lout wrote: βSat Jun 15, 2024 10:36 pmThe European Union β Europe.demographic wrote: βSat Jun 15, 2024 9:10 pm Is this another of those "Everyone outside Europe" things?

There are other European countries that are also not in the EU but hey, keep on feeding your victimhood.demographic wrote: βMon Jun 17, 2024 9:08 pmWell, at least pedantry is one step up from claiming to be the victim of decisions you voted for so things are looking up.Saga Lout wrote: βSat Jun 15, 2024 10:36 pmThe European Union β Europe.demographic wrote: βSat Jun 15, 2024 9:10 pm Is this another of those "Everyone outside Europe" things?

But they haven't left the EU, as the UK has; they never joined in the first place, so there is no change of status.

Re: ETIAS needed for visits to the EU
Think of it as a messy divorce. If you were never married to someone in the first place then thereβs no issues.
I read a report yesterday about net investment into the uk from other countries- pre brexit it was +200 billion. Last year it was -200 billion.
