I used to have a pair that I wore as slippers when I was a chalet host. They were a bit like mules, so had a little heel. With a warm lining, they were perfect.

Lost them when some guests 'collected' up a load of indoor shoes when they went home and mine found their way into their bag :( :( :(

Very vaguely like this, but mine were smaller and looked more 'ladylike'!!

They're so good even Elton John sung about how much they rock! I got into the first time round after LMAO at my B-i-L when he came round in some. Plastic clogs FFS! I didn't stop laughing at them. At his insistence I tried them on and wasnt impressed either, but got a pair as a (sarcastic?) present for beach shoes. Never looked back after that. Then they seemed to drop out of favour, hospital staff aside. Suddenly the crocs and socks revolution was amongst us and I was free to buy some more!

I have some KTM orange ones from many moons ago, and a pair of paint splattered blue ones.
Use them all the time in the moho or mooching around the house. Even nip down the boulangerie in them........but I also have a manbag so not really that concerned about image!

If they're by the back door when going to the garage, then yes. But I don't own any.

They're too hot on my feet

I did have some but after a close call with a nail I now have gardening clogs with an armoured sole.

They're cheap, waterproof, virtually indestructible and convenient. That said, I wouldn't be seen dead in them outside the house obviously.

Guilty.

I used to have a pair that I kept at the back door, handy for putting on to put the bins out or do a quick spot of gardening.

They had leather uppers and unfortunately didn’t take well to being left out in all weathers like I used to do.

So they got dumped.

No, remember future generations will be digging up crocs and wondering what sort of people we were that saw fit to wear them!

The fashion statement part has always eluded me. They're pretty ugly and they don't really work as flipflop substitutes, so why you'd want to wear them outside the front door I have no idea. Those that are proudly wearing them in the street are probably also doing their shopping in a onesie and wearing one of those huge plastic raincoat things that have become popular with the northern dog walker crowd. As 'garden shoes' though they're fine. I can't recall what I wore before? Probably just some older shoes that I struggled to get on and off quick enough to warrant yet another trip outside?
