I suppose it depends what your mainstream media is. 'Mine' has noted the guilty verdict with a raised eyebrow, observed the post-verdict silly bleatings with a "not this again", and moved on. If there's hysteria, it's been generated by trump himself. I guess if you believe the world is against you, you spot slights all over the place.Screwdriver wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 9:26 pm Fill up the mainstream media with enough propaganda and some people will mindlessly believe it.
This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...

I don't get the weird - "la la it's not happening" position that people take because of their politics.
You could throw Trump off a cliff tonight and I wouldn't give a monkeys, but if you actually believe that this isn't a massive political campaign against him just to keep him out of the WH, when if it was anyone else this wouldn't have even got past the first lawyer that looked at it, then you've honestly got something wrong with you.
How can Biden's son be an actual gun totting crack addict and Biden himself be on the end of dodgy foreign money, and it's ok, but Trump is a demon for shagging a brass and wanting to pay her off to keep her quiet and protect his reputation. He's a rich clown who put his dick in the wrong porn star and paid her not to go shrieking to the press, it's not exactly Christian of him but is that really worth all this news? And should it stop him being president?

It's true that I couldn't give a shit that the "victim" of a bought trial , if that's what it is, happens to be Trump. Much more interesting to discover if rigged trials happen frequently and if so why Trump didn't do it himself when he was president. Because he has integrity you say?! Hahahaha!

The REALLY stinky part is the #3 guy at the DoJ leaving his job to go work in Bragg's office & taking a 50% pay cut to do so...We're supposed to believe that was just a coincidence.
Democrats had no issues at all with Trump when he was a life-long Democrat who donated $$ to their campaigns (including Hilary). The problem started when he changed parties to Republican.

I'd have to be pissed as a fart first.
Genuinely, I loathe these two and people like this in general. Far nicer and interesting people to get drunk with IMO of course.

He can't be guilty though because it's easy to fix trials apparently.

This doesn't seem as blatantly dodgy as the Trump trial but they still seem to have taken advantage of a poorly worded law, I can see why they didn't want a trial before.
Unless I missed something he declared he wasn't a drug user but there was nothing on the form about how long since he last used them.

& now we have Biden talking on gun crimes & children at the "Moms Demand Action" presser. (he was just interrupted by the pro-Palestine mob).. which is a bit rich seeing as Hunters other half ditched the gun in a trash can near a school.

It was previously *fixed* but the deal fell apart when it came out that part of the deal would have seen Hunter given immunity for any future crimes... Immunity for all past, present & future crimes sure sounds like a fix to me.
They got a bit of push back on that after the judge had a "Wait a fucking minute" moment.

Re: This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...
The gun charge was difficult/impossible to evade. Hunter was making drug deals the same day and both he and his then girlfriend admitted to it.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 5:46 pm So Daddy President can fix the system against the Orange Idiot, but not for his own son?
That's not the point though. The real reason for prosecuting Hunter only for this relatively minor crime is so that the Biden mafia avoid the rather more significant charges relating to tax fraud from their dealings with Burisma and the CCP. The statute of limitations is due to expire so they get away scot free with tens of millions of dollars.
As a bonus, the mainstream media (every single last one of them, word for word!) will flag this as evidence that the justice system is "fair" and therefore Trump is definitely guilty.
Looks like it's working too.
The only positive aspect is that this is further obvious evidence that the Democratic party are planning to dump Biden as a candidate before the next election. Clearly the best strategy is to leave this "unexpected bombshell" to the last possible moment. Nobody would buy Kamala Harris as a potential leader, so my guess is they wheel out Gavin Newsom at the last minute so that his catalogue of failures won't have time to sink in with the electorate.

Meddling with the justice system and bringing down both Trump and the Biden in one foul swoop sounds like a win to me! Who do I send my thanks to?

It's "fell swoop", not "foul swoop":
"Shakespeare either coined the phrase, or gave it circulation, in Macbeth, 1605:
MACDUFF: [on hearing that his family and servants have all been killed]
All my pretty ones?
Did you say all? O hell-kite! All?
What, all my pretty chickens and their dam
At one fell swoop?
The kite referred to is a hunting bird, like the Red Kite, which was common in England in Tudor times..."
