The federal election form advises you that to cast a vote, you have to be a US citizen or you commit a federal offence. How many legal immigrants do you think will do that? Let alone illegal? One of the many mistruths spread by trump and maga to scare people to vote for him

In fact, since Trump made all the allegations in 2020, quite a few states (9 in total) have implemented further checks to absolutely ensure it doesn't happen.

Only a very small amount of local elections in the US allow immigrant voting.

But then maga supporters seem to believe everything he says, regardless of how obvious a lie it is??? As much as I dislike the word, the only way to describe it sometimes is a cult.
I'm not a US citizen. I get sent voter registration every year. No checks in place to stop me voting at all.

I follow some of the blasé "yeah all looks good to me" unthinking nonsense with a mixture of incredulity and horror. ZRX61 appears to be one of the few people actually following the facts of this case - a blatantly obvious travesty of justice. The entire trial is a sham run by the Biden administration to literally "get Trump".

So to answer your question as to why the jury were not told the entire case hinges upon the need for an actual crime to have been committed (when there is in fact no crime):

The judge said that the relevant laws and statutes were too complicated for the jury to understand so he made a determination that a crime had been committed and the rest of the case can follow from his ruling. Trumps specialist expert lawyer was forbidden from discussing that aspect of (election) law since it would subvert the judges authority.

In other words, the judge decided that Trump was guilty of "a crime" without having to go through the tedious process of actually having to prove it. Everything beyond that "determination" is moot since without that prejudicial ruling, the entire case, which in itself is insignificantly trivial, is expired from the statute of limitations.

If you ever wondered what the true meaning of "due process" is, this is the perfect example of what it is not.

It makes no difference really, the Biden administration (a cabal of corporate global elites) are pretty much at the stage where they feel they can do anything and get away with it. I still expect a massive Trump landslide victory despite an extraordinary bumper ballot harvest from the Biden admin popping up right at the last minute in just the right swing states. Bit like they did last time except with Trump being even more popular now, they risk over-inflating voter turnout beyond the literal size of the entire population of the USA. Including the massive haul of blank ballots they have been hoarding for all the illegal immigrants they have been shipping in - just for this very circumstance.

Personally, I fear for his life. The blob or the swamp or whatever you want to call the evil creatures running the US really have nothing to lose. It can't possibly get any worse for them than Trump getting into office. Sadly, it is entirely possible, quite likely imho, that Trump will end up dead before the election.

He'll still win.
I think that's what Trump alluded too when he said to Americans, if it can happen to him it can happen to you. But, I think its an own goal for Biden. Being found guilty may have turned some away from Trump, but now many are seeing the trial as anti American and it'll probably secure his tenure. I was pretty certain he'd get in again, hence the thread, but now I know he will, unless he is assassinated and the risk of that must be increasing daily. Or as you say, bumper ballot harvest for Biden...

I did laugh at some random American, when asked about the trial, said, the bigger crime is we only have these two as candidates!

I thought Biden was supposed to have been bumped off by now so that Harris, the person they™ really wanted, could be prez?

Gotta be careful with those certain assumptions right? :D

Once again: There are no checks in place.

I can drop the voter registration in the mail & will be sent mail-in ballots for local, state & national elections. The ONLY thing they check is if my signature on the ballot matches the one on the voter registration. Peoples pet dogs have received voter registration.

I assumed Biden would be dead by now.

Only from the neck up it would seem, though watching how he moves there could be some animatronics at play.

Brilliant move by Trump to insist on a drug test prior to their proposed debate. Not a chance that will ever happen. If they drain Biden of his embalming fluid he'll seize solid. In all seriousness though, it is clear he is being pumped full of something to get him through even those few minutes he is plonked in front of a camera to read his lines before they carefully hide him away.

I confess I thought that was the plan: bumped off or, more likely, removed as incompetent. Maybe the DNC had second thoughts once they realised how stupid Harris is. Which is worse, the old man suffering from dementia or the demented woman?

Pelosi pushed the 25th Amendment under Trump for "a future President".

State of the Union speech had Biden acting & sounding like he was coked up..

Today he landed in France & that's all he did. He's holed up someplace to recover.

Hunter & Jim Biden both referred to the DoJ for lying under oath to congress, which is apparently a felony.

The only American I've actually spoken to about this said the same - well, agreed forcefully when I said it!

The Americans I know here (but haven't actually talked to about it) have written very similar on FB posts.

How The FUCK can a country the size of the USA only be able to produce two candidates for presidency and HTF can they both be so terrible??

They're not the only two candidates though right...there's a whole series of other polls to nominate them. Plus a few independents (e.g. Kennedy).

They chose the shitty candidates

They could have chosen Ron "I'm going to enter into a legal fight with the worlds most litigious company" Desantis :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I have cousins in Florida, most are veterans and support Trump, but one is a very vocal Trump hater, however, this trial has changed her opinion. I'm still not sure if she supports Trump per se, but she is now certainly questioning things and listening to what he says. From what I'm seeing from a yank POV, I think a lot of Americans are like her and this is an own goal from camp Biden.

Whenever I feel depressed about the state of UK politics I take a look over the pond and feel slightly better. We're a shite show but the US has got knobs on.

So the allegation that the Left are letting in Illegal immigrants so they can vote makes no sense if you can register dogs to vote, you wouldn't need the illegals at all.

The mainstream media would have you believe that "populism" or nationalism aka Trump, Farage, Geert Wilders, is somehow a bad thing. The narrative insists such populist leaders are anti-democratic or a sign of a failing democracy.

This is a perfect example of gaslighting; suggesting their opponent is doing something they are in fact doing themselves. So the vilification of populism is really the less popular, minority view telling you the majority is wrong. That is an anti-democratic position by definition...

It must be difficult to see through the relentless propaganda the mainstream media promotes or to see past the extreme censorship of the majority of big tech/social media outlets. All of them insist orange man bad. It is becoming more and more obvious however that the persecution of Trump has failed (despite or arguably because of this latest travesty of justice) and any sensible observer can see how corrupt the entire system has become.

There are good people out there though, even in the Trump camp. Tulsi Gabbard is one. Vivek Ramaswami another. Two extremely capable candidates for VP...

I don't think Trump is really bothered about the guilty verdict. He can play the martyr role, again, he loves that. He can add it to the list of things he's failed to prove: "the last election was rigged"; "I didn't try to incite a civil war". The line of argument he instructed his lawyers to follow, that the judge quite rightly disallowed on the basis that it was total bollocks, can now be played out in a hundred earnest YouTube channels and taken as gospel by the Truther bunch.

Amazing how some of you suddenly because experts in the minutiae of US law overnight innit? :D
