Well as you may gather we're partial to a bit of Dyfi and his birthday is usually spent at a bike park. This year though has a few things going on. The Sunday is a race at Revolution bike park, but he's not showing lots of interest in that.
So we're currently a maybe. A lot will depend on wife's plans as she's often left out

That place looks fantastic!
I take it, it’s for those who are suitably experienced at riding these trails and not for a total novice like me??

Do you guys know of any novice bike parks around the Midlands, or west of the midlands, cheers

Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, they also do uplift and Cannock Chase which is pretty flat but is reasonably fun to ride outside the weekends.

"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Cannock has a decent trail centre but if you want to dip a toe into dh style you could pop over the road (or can be accessed from the trails) to Style cop, it's free with several decent trails, bit of a tedious push back to the top (unless you've got an ebike), deffo don't start at Dyfi although in recent years it's been made much more accessible but requires full face helmet and pads for a reason.
If you fancy a bikepark with an uplift as mentioned FOD or 417 are good but I'd also recommend Bike park Wales, they've done a great job of catering for every ability.
