Friday thread. The late one

Post by weeksy »

Been busy, so we're late.

Fri. Spanner stuff on Trek and Status. Food, bed. I woke up at 5.06 this morning and thought it was 6.06 so got out of bed.
Sat. Cycling and a beer or 3 on my own.
Sun. MTB coaching session, advanced jumps and drops

Tomogga, top to bottom house clean. Because the wife doesn't like the cat sitter to see the squalor in which we live.
Sunday, up early doors (3am) for a trip to the airport, where I'll be having a couple of pints before getting on a big metal bird bound for Corfu.

Today, drove home from Criccieth, swapped out the rotors on the bike.
Sat, have new rubber fitted on loose wheels, weekly shop, BBQ, hopefully a chill day with nothing much to do.
Sun, swear at bike whilst trying to get it back together.

I had a new front tyre fitted to a mate's Firestorm and stuck the front wheel back in without him noticing. He's been getting it rough the past while. The rest of today has been spent cutting grass and other outdoor stuff. Mrs.Skub is round at a friend's house,so I'll catch up on Mugello practice tonight.

Saturday looks to be a lovely day,so I hope to get some bike time. Maybe drift out early.

Sunday afternoon is a vintage/classic run out and BBQ after,in aid of a local children's charity. The weather looks more dodgy than Saturday,so I hope it holds out without raining.

I'm cat sitting :D Benefit is I have use of their car which is a serious bonus right now as the weather is pants :(

Tonight - went out to meet some friends in a bar I've not been to. Not actually been out for drinks with this girl either, or met her other half (although he and I know each other through a cooking page on FB!!  ). Met some other folks too and finally a nice lady that liked to dance as much as me so - extra awesome! Now trying to cook some tea! Probably dinner right now!! LOL

Tomorrow - original plan had been to go to Chambery to a bike do. But the forecast is rubbish, so I probably won't go. So, the cat will be happy as I'll be home more than I have been so far!! LOL

Sunday was supposed to be bike related - probably not :( :(

As per usual: not a clue. But there's a few jobs that need doing: the fish pond will be a priority, but hoping to start the weekend with some hot carbs and protein.

Not sure mate, don't know if she's back from Paris coaching GB squad, so it may be Sam.

Friday: Steak dinner night & bike night at the VFW, also, friends band is playing there. However, I'm taking the F350, not a bike.

Saturday: Not a clue, may put the new chain on the ZX11.

Sunday: Another friends band is playing at the Sagebrush, may go.

Dunno. I'll make this one up as I go along apart from the days I'm told 'Today we're going to....xyz'.

Might build some more shelving....might procrastinate. :)

Dad (f-i-l) sitting for 10 days (8 days left), so not too much. It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and we didn't go out as we had him round, so I've decided i'm taking the wife out to Maldon for lunch today. If I can get sardines i'll have a bbq tomorrrow and that's about it.

Friday was an MTB with the dogs, a few jobs round the house and then meeting a few mates at the pub for a drink to celebrate a mates new job as manager of a nearby LBS.
Sat, house work and dog walk, then 12hr night shift
Sunday, a bit of sleep and a slack afternoon as I'm back at work Monday morning.

"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."
