What an odd mix. If you're going far enough to need a jerry can, where's the rest of the luggage go? Are there very few petrol stations in Sri Lanka? Why waste that space where the hole in the frame lives?

It's nice enough but strapping a can of fuel on doesn't really make it an 'expedition'.

Yup. If I planned to spend much time fording rivers (as in the article pix) I'd want a high level exhaust too.

I like it, it's small, simple, light and mechanically bullet-proof but I just think the 'label' they've put on it doesn't fit and the jerry can is just a bit .

If you're slagging off the XJ600 special, I'd be interested to see how you rate this 250... it's one of the most uninspiring engines I've ever had the misfortune to ride! Sticking expensive wheels on it and shifting the battery so it's where all the muck flung up by the front tyre doesn't turn this horrid little machine into some desirable.

I think an SR250 is the worst motorcycle I've ever ridden, but this one looks alright, but it will still be shit to ride.
