A pair of ultra-rare nineties Honda motorcycles, including an oval-piston NR750 have come up for grabs at Surrey based dealership Farnham Honda.
The dealership is offering what is described as an “immaculate” condition Honda NR750 RC41 for £115,000 as well as an “incredibly low mileage” Honda RVF750 RC45 priced at £65,000.
Built exclusively for the Japanese and French market, and with only 20 ever made, the 101bhp NR750 RC41 is considered to this day to be one of the greatest examples of Honda’s engineering prowess.
Its 748cc V4 motor was built using a V8 architecture, with bores conjoined to create oval cylinders. But its exotic engine was far from the NR750’s only appeal.
The whole package represented a significant step forward in two-wheeled design, incorporating (for the first time ever on a Japanese motorcycle) fully mapped multiport fuel injection, upside down forks, carbon fibre bodywork, an under-seat exhaust and a smattering of titanium throughout.
It was also Honda’s first foray into side mounted radiators – a system later utilised on the VTR1000 amongst others.
Whilst the iconic NR750 is unarguably the rarer of the two icons, the RVF is a legend in its own right, being created as a homologation special to enable entry into the Superbike World Championship. Having covered only 95 miles, this one is as close as you’ll get to factory perfect too.

It's slightly deceiving, there were 300ish NRs made, but only 20 of the French model, I've no idea what the difference is, but I'd rather have a proper UK one than a supposedly rarer French one

Don't/Didn't the French have a power restriction or summit? Which the NR probably didn't breach in standard trim anyway
EDIT: 100bhp springs to mind actually?

So an extremely rare version - because it has 25bhp less than standard? Wonder how much more than £115k a deristricted one would cost.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 8:09 am Don't/Didn't the French have a power restriction or summit? Which the NR probably didn't breach in standard trim anyway

Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Think how much you could charge for one with an A2 restrictor kit!
Yes I know you can't restrict one 'cause of the 50% thing.
