New gloves
Or Glubs as they are known in our house from back when my son couldn't say it right.
Pair of these Furygan shorties. Very similar to the original Furygan James D30 I've had for the last 6 years or so. Also tried the later version of the James Evo but they are a little long on the wrist for what I want. Need to return the ones they sent me as there is a small mark/scuff on the leather but will swap em over at the Harlow store on Wednesday. Amazing how much my current pair have stretched over time!

Re: New gloves
Fuck sake. First pair had a small scuff in the leather. Mrs picked up the second pair today and the left glove has a small seam on the lower joint of my first finger, enough to piss me off in time I think as left a mark. So might have to order a 3rd pair. Wish I'd have swapped the 2 lefts over as the first pair fitted fine could try a size up as they are pretty tight, but I find gloves stretch a fair amount

There's barely a gap at all, I get a little breeze at times but most of the time they are just inside my cuff

Re: New gloves
Not doing well with these. First pair had a small scuff mark on the palm. So ordered another pair of medium and these look fine but have a slight twist to the first finger which means there's a seam on the knuckle of my finger. So now waiting for a 3rd pair!

Re: New gloves
I wouldn't bother, there's obviously a quality control issue. Different brand i reckon.

Re: New gloves
Yup. First pair had a scuff on the palm. 2nd pair had an annoying seam. 3rd pair which arrived yesterday had a small nick in the leather on one of the fingers and 2 annoying seems, one in the small finger on the left hand, another along the thumb in the right. So giving up with them.
Odd as current furygan gloves have been excellent and are 6 years old now. Will stick with em until I find something else. Thinking of these Halvarssons ones from a local shop.

Re: New gloves
Why has quality control for gloves gotten worse? Recently, I tried on various brands of gloves, and several had issues such as loose stitching. Many short gloves had wrist restraints that wouldn't keep them on in a crash. And some had scaphoid “sliders” that were more like scaphoid grippers! Shite.

Re: New gloves
Yes, I've noticed the same. Last few pairs of gloves I've brought I've tried on several brands/styles and broadly all fitted/good quality and it was more a choice between looks. This time I tried on a fair few pairs they had in stock at SBS and several had iffy stitching/comfort issues.Hot_Air wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 6:09 pm Why has quality control for gloves gotten worse? Re: New gloves
Best and longest lasting pair of gloves i own are made by held. They are a thick winter glove and are so old the leather has faded but they still haven't torn nor do they leak either. I have a Richa pair of summer gloves that have held up well too. Every other make and i've had most other makes, have barely lasted a year.
