Help me find something please ?
So I have a wax cotton Barbour jacket which unlike my other jackets is a bit longer and covers my back. It's ideal for warmer days commuting when I don't want to have to put on a jumper or base layer to make sure my back stays covered. (T-shirts ride up because I've got a beer gut unless I wear something too baggy.)
The main downside to this jacket is that it doesn't have any D30 pads in shoulders or elbows and no back protector either.
Is there anyone that sells a full top half mesh vest thing with back, shoulder and elbow D30 (or equivalent) in it?
(I could probably get a similar jacket with the stuff in it for <£200 but I don't want to buy another jacket if i can avoid it.)

OK so I'm looking for a light armoured shirt that doesn't cost more than a new jacket then

Yeah Knox are the main players I think but they start at £200 for the Action Pro which is only A rated and go up in cost from there. The plus point of this is that you can transfer the Action Pro shirts to other jackets or even wear them standalone as a summer mesh jacket. I have considered one as my Oxford Mondial is only A rated but probably easier/cheaper to just buy a AA rated or above jacket.
Alternatively Merlin do a range of Belstaff lookalike wax cotton jackets which are proper bike jackets at a fraction of Belstaff prices.

Stuff like this has a longer back.

Yup it's looking like i'm going to be looking for a new Jacket/Shacket/ thing.
Bloody annoying when it's only for 15mins of A/B roads.
Once I get my hips sorted I will be trying to shift some weight but it's a bit tricky at the minute - 5k walks are my limit - on the MTB I'm OK until I need to mount/dismount which is bloody painful.

Change your eating & drinking?
In terms of calories etc, exercise doesn't actually use up much.
