I've watched it, thought it was good, maybe missing Gerald but he's poorly atm. I like JC, he ain't PC and that's a good thing. Maybe he started too strong and difficult to keep the entertainment value going.

I think Clarkson is funny, realistic when it matters, funny when it doesn’t. I think this series we are starting to see the real person a bit more, such as the call about Gerald, the piglets. I like the series and looking forward to number 4.

I liked season 3, as the others. I do genuinely think he's enjoying himself doing the farming thing. Lisa is ace, she really does know how to graft, doesn't shy away from much at all.
The farming community seem to like what he's doing as well, the feedback is that he's doing crap loads for farming due to bringing issues etc to the forefront.
I think I read somewhere that CF is going to finish after the next series though?

It's got to be better than Countryfile.

That's turned into 'Farmingfile with Adam Henson' and seems to be determined to propagate the view that farmers are all poor, downtrodden. angelic souls struggling to make minimum wage - while preserving/conserving the countryside for the enjoyment of all, generally out of the goodness of their hearts. Then topping themselves because they're underpaid and underappreciated by us and the government.

Clarkson has made farming interesting for the masses - something that Countryfile/Yorkshire Farm/Cannonhall Farm haven't or couldn't.

Clarkson's message about the difficulties of farming are essentially the same as Henson's but Clarkson's words have more feeling IMO, Henson just comes across a bit holier than thou. Almost like farming's version of Joel Osteen.

Re -the punching the producer thing, I have met and know the waitress that served them that evening, and they did all get the steak he was gobbing off about. They did open the kitchen and all was well. Producer was as arsey as JC By all accounts.

Planning law has been updated (as of yesterday) to make it simpler/easier for farmers to convert property on their land into shops/restaurants/other.

There's probably a small parallel with something I worked.

DfT announced a change to authorisations.

People have been campaigning for it since the early 1990s.

Now, whilst acknowledging their efforts, one person is making "once I got involved" type statements.

Just as importantly, the government should be looking at the local planning committees, it is apparent there was/is an objection to Clarkson rather than justifiable planning restraints.
No doubt this goes on countrywide, I know I’d have trouble due to not seeing eye to eye with our Parish Councillor who also sits on the district council planning committee.
