Is that the Guzzi with the Pegasus-style wings?

What's the verdict? Do they do anything worthwhile?
It is the very beast.

I think they're pretty good and combined with the screen, the ride is pretty comfortable 👌

gremlin wrote: Thu May 09, 2024 4:06 pm Had a Whatsapp chat with the Gremlinette. They've been put in groups to do their uni assignments and she's been with a group of lads. They initially set up a group chat, but the other week she stopped getting responses to questions and comments. Turned out the lad decided to set up their own group. Today she's turned up to work on the assignment and they've grabbed a table for four for themselves. She jokingly asked if they could make a bit of room, but they said they wanted to work as a four, so she's gone and sat on her own.
She seems unfazed by it, but it's boiled my piss a fair amount. If they have issues, then surely they of the age where they can sort it out. She has no idea what, if anything she's done to offend them, and I suggested she ask them via the group chat. She's decided to simply ignore it as it's not worth the bother and she's not going to waste her time as the assignment is nigh-on finished. In fairness, she's probably right.

I fucking detest bullying.
That's proper shitty and childish, verging on infantile of the lads. Hope that not working with them to the end of the assignment won't affect her marks?

I've been talking to a mate today who's dealing with an 'adult' male that most definitely doesn't qualify as an adult. All sorts of issues going on in his head but apparently she's totally at fault and 'triggering' her.

FFS, why can't people be at least a bit adult about stuff? Shutting someone out for no reason or blaming someone else for all your issues is just idiotic :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:

Swapped a CCTV camera that had died for a new one.

Fixed a leaky bit of guttering while the ladders were out 👍

Put some more stuff in the skip.

Put up a new washing line. Oh, the middle-aged-ness of it all.

Got a haircut.

Went for a spin on the quad.

Had a shit-ton of cardboard to dispose of, way more than the recycling would allow for. Not a problem, I'm WFH today, I'll nip to the dump. Be nice and quiet on a week day.

Seemingly every other lazy fecker working from home had the same idea.

Had a nice email from NatWest offering me £80 compo for a balls up on their part, well, that’s why they’d said they are paying the compensation.

The original complaint wasn’t for the balls up which numerous staff, both telephone and in person couldn’t comprehend and in reality couldn’t therefore be avoided, it was due to the lack of empathy shown by one of their telephone twatmonkeys who practically ridiculed me whilst having to deal with a rather sensitive situation. I hope the compo email was nice speak for the little cnut getting his marching orders.

Advice from company no fucking use at all. :angry-cussingblack:
Posted on the FB group for these cams for advice & so far all I got was one comment from a bloke in Newfoundland stating that it works perfectly on HIS Android.
Told him "Great, send me your phone"

I had to go to the tip today as well, fairly regular thing recently & it's always been quiet. Today the queue was enormous! No idea why good weather makes a tip trip more appealing.

Roughly 175kms :D

Damn I ache! There was rather more mountain hairpins than I'd originally planned when I set out!!

But it was a bloody brilliant day - caught up with a few people and had a lovely day

Downside is that it means tomorrow will be a little less riding than I'd originally planned

But it will still be great cos I can go out on a bike :D :D

Gentle bimble today just to the valley and back - well, a long stop at my mates shop to drink coffee and chat! And see other mates when they came in for coffee, cake and pastys :D

As I set off from resort I saw a guy jogging that looked vaguely like my boss, but, as far as I knew, my boss doesn't jog and also I was just about to get to a roundabout, so I didn't look too hard and didn't wave or anything!

Not long after I got to my mate's shop, my boss called -

Boss : did you ride down to the valley today, wearing a pink jacket and pink boots

Me : I did (well, the boots just have some pink detail, haven't found pink boots!)

- so, again, we pass on the road and you don't see me (cos I have a habit of not waving when we pass each other in various work vehicles!!)

- ah, I didn't see you, or any of our vehicles.

- no, I was jogging

- :o :o :o :o

He's bought a bike again (sold the last one when he bought the taxi company!) and suggested we go out but he rides gently cos his wife goes pillion - so I said that's fine for me cos I'm relearning!! But also, give me a couple of weeks to increase my arm/shoulder fitness :D

This evening I saw them both and chatted and I said I was going to meet a mate (also worked for us in the winter) and we were planning a bike ride so he said we should all get together to go riding :D :D

So - I have a start to finding riding buddies!! LOL And so far they are riding buddies that will keep me slower :D :D :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

Sat around today chilling after yesterday’s NW200 race day. Great day, ran smoothly with only one hold-up due to a “non-racing” incident- apparently caused by spectators on the course. 🙄 Very hot and sunny all day so a bit burnt which is better than the usual drowning. Pretty crash-free racing apart from one - Google Paul Cassidy NW200 crash…. ( don’t know how to link….)

Had a v nice day. Drove over the hill to the next village. It's v chocolate box, with a stream, ducks, little bridge etc so attracts weekend visitors. We parked up away from all that and walked in to go to an art and craft exhibition. Nothing made my wallet twitch so we walked back up one of the old deep paths (nice and shady) and had lunch then dropped off a box of books at the 'bus stop library' and tidied the stock up.

The road over the hill is one of the old smugglers roads I think. Deep and narrow, lots of single track with bits where two cars can just about pass. Lots of numpties trying to rush and jamming stuff up and a few that haven't got a clue how wide their cars are. Just went 'Ommmm' and got through gradually....won't be going that way on sunny Sundays for a while.

Ordered a Shark air purifier to see if I can keep the pollen count down indoors but still have windows open. Never had hay fever until a couple of years ago!

The food here is amazing and superb brekky and dinner buffets.
I've been very good and stuffed mesen with healthy salad, chicken and fruit for energy on track and keep the weight down

Last day on track today, so fuck it :D

Straight for unhealthy serving area.
2 plates of salmon, swordfish, lasagne, steak, veal and chips. Lots of chips.

I didn't have camera to show you my mega dessert plate :obscene-birdiedoublered:
