Bit of an unfair one seeing as they only came in one colour.
What was that?

My first car was a Russet Brown Dolomite.

My mates called it the "Dollop of Shite"

Like an Aston Martin being silver.
A Porsche 911 red
A Jag Xk120 British Racing Green
Ferrari F40 red
Wikipedia: "The colours have their origin in the national teams competing in the Gordon Bennett Cup, which was held annually in 1900-1905..."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_i ... ng_colours

There's a list, including:
Italy - red, which is why Ferraris are red
Germany - silver (Mercedes, Porsche?)
Britain - green (Jaguar, Bentley)
France - blue (???)
