Fitted trackers to the KTM and the quad, once I'd sussed why the key fobs wouldn't register
Potted up my baby tomato and cucumber plants and introduced them to their new home in the greenhouse.
Other bits and bobs that don't amount to much, but seem to have taken up the whole day

Got the train to Sheffield, didn't buy a ticket.
Had a slap up meal at Miller and Carter.
Got drunk on cocktails in various city centre bars.
Got the train home... But had to buy a ticket two stops from home.
Now sat in my local 'spoons having a beer.

Put 'Cock n Balls on the Wall' back in his rightful place in the hallway.
All aboard the Peckham Pigeon! All aboard!
Re: What have you done today thread?
Baked brownies (I bake once a year if you're lucky, so...).
Finally attached the galvanised trunking to the wall, in anticipation of plastering soon.
Put up the new washing line.
Went out on the bike for an hour as a reward for doing all that ^
Mowed the paths through our neighbours woods, disturbed a deer stalker (and probably a lot of deer ), and got stuck/beached in a muddy dip so Muz had to come on the quad to pull me out

Re: What have you done today thread?
Almost finished building a shed. Glad I didn't pay for it. Cheaper than pallet wood, with bowed and knotty strips of wood which made it near impossible to get it built straight. HTF people get away with selling this shite is beyond me! But i'm told that's what cheap sheds are like and to stop worrying about it as it'll do the job. Fair comment I suppose. I still have to put the felt on it and hang the doors to finish the job, but I'm struggling to muster the enthusiasm to do it.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I are bin getting muddy boots, walkin' in the rain. Despite the weather it was all right and the world smelled nice and the air was nice to breathe.
Noted that the car parks on the Greensand Ridge were v quiet. A few drops of rain seems to have put the MTB boys off. (The road lot were still clogging up the narrow lanes but they looked quite miserable ).
Later I will see if my downpipe diverters and butt connectors ( ) that I installed yesterday are doing their thing and harvesting nature's bounty.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Was up just after 4 fucking A fucking M for some reason. Have to pick up roomie at 4.30ish from LAX, perfectly timed arrival so I'll be fighting rush hour traffic both ways.
May wash the SBH today.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Took various parts off the KTM to find somewhere to install the tracker. Installed the tracker. Replaced parts of bike.
Knocked all the (mostly blown) lime plaster off a bedroom wall ready for re-plastering.
'Repaired' my mouse/rat-eaten mechanic's stool.
Before... After... (Why yes, I did buy stupidly patterned Duck tape on purpose for this task, whatofit? )

Washed the SBH!!!
Then in a fit of enthusiasm, I also gave parts of it a cut & buff.
Cashed in my lottery winnings from last week, reinvested in this weeks draws.
Had a look at my Vanguard acct... Made back about half of April's loss so far this month.

Sat down by the seafront in Sorrento, having a quiet beer, gentle breeze blowing onshore.
Now, tonight I have that tight forehead feeling you get from being out in the sun for too long.........or welding without a proper mask!

For any ailment in Italy, Amaro is prescribed. It cures everything from Athlete's Foot to sunburn, so make sure you have a glass after dinner.Sadlonelygit wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 10:33 pm Sat down by the seafront in Sorrento, having a quiet beer, gentle breeze blowing onshore.
