15k is middle of the road money for a brand new bike these days, "really special" means 20k easy.

We're in the world of 23k Fireplaces now.

Potter is adding on the cost of a loud pipe and the optional fairing lowers.

The bike they seem to be showing off in the adverts and in all the PR stuff has the fairing and exhaust. The £12.5k version is the stripped back job.

The pictures I’ve seen from the launch (see attached) have the fairing and pipe. So if you want that one then it’s £15k+

Prefer it without either. They're both fucking horrific additions.

TBH i'd take this all day over the GP and deffo over the faired one.

Talk is cheap gentlemen, as far back as last year I was standing in the local Yamaha dealers with the cash in my hand willing to buy one if it turned out to be what I wanted it to be, but it doesn't look like it is. I'd have no issue parting with twenty grand if it had been the bike I wanted it to be.

So for those of you trying to convince me that it's the bike I really want even when it hasn't turned out the way I wanted it - how many of you are buying one?

TBH i'd take this all day over the GP and deffo over the faired one.

I think that's decent looking, it's modelled on an RD350N1 and it's probably a better road bike than the GP version.

Not sure whether anyone else is buying one is of any relevance. I'm not buying any motorbikes, ever...

I've got one here that hasn't and is unlikely to move this year, so buying another isn't on the cards. That doesn't mean i can't have an opinion on what i like/dislike though.

As a bloke who owned at least two of the bikes the GP is modelled on back in the 1990's I reckon my reasoning for wanting a retro bike that is actually something fairly special and not a dressed up pretender is probably about as sound as it gets.

As far as I can see I'm also the only bloke in the argument that was actually willing to to buy one

I think it looks great, but I’m stuck on the price for what it is. If it was £10k I’d be arguing it’s ace.
