Tamiya. Their kits are really good quality.

The only thing I'd say is that if you don't have an airbrush and compressor I'd think about getting one. I was very very disappointed with the finish I got on my first kit with a brush. I've just built up to using paint and a gloss clear coat to a point where I'm sort of happy with the results...

I only started building kits again during lockdown and have done 4 so far. Used to build loads as a kid.

Ah. I think I paid about 150 each for my airbrush and compressor. As was always the case… the kits are the cheap bit, the paints and tooling not so much.

This is in the loft (win - even TP doesn't have one, I'm sure).

BiL built it, and made the display case its in. Then brought it back from the USA!

Belongs to wayward nephew. But might eventually find its way to a local auction house that specialises in models ...

Yes, definitely. There are some graphics to apply and then a gloss layer will be applied over it all.
