Re: Portimao the wiggly way down...
Day one and British weather sabotaged me. After riding through 29 proper deep walking pace floods I missed the ferry by four minutes. I said fack! Lurched from Poole to Portsmouth to catch another but that arrived at 10pm at Caen so I effectively missed a day's worth of riding. Took a more direct route and am now approx 150 miles south of the pyrenees with two more days to get there. Scenic route on the way back cos I'll have a week to play with.
Ducati 1198s is en route on stillage so I can mix & match. I'll bung pics up when I can...

Back in one piece. Likewise the bike. 3000 miles round trip and a beestely thrashing on track though I vastly preferred riding the ducati at portimao.
The r1 is a squishy comfy sofa of fun though and more than capable regardless of roads whether it's sweeping bends or N2 Portugal lunacy. I'll host a pic or three soon but Bern thrown back into thr bear pit of work dagnammit!
