Holibobs (only because i know some hate it ! ) where you off to ?

Current plans are Bulgaria in June, Romania in July.
Contemplating Tasmania later in the year, but I suspect I'll be paying for an RSJ instead.
I'm in Malta at the mo, but despite the lovely hotel and food etc, it's for work, so doesn't count.
On the other hand I'm on my notice period, so am milking it a smidge.
I really enjoy travelling for work, as long as it's between once a month and once a quarter. Any more than that and the novelty wears off sharpish. Mind, best I get is business class for 8hrs + (Emirates' is epic), but for short hops there's no options - and I've certainly never done first class!

Nerja is lovely. (It'll be bloody hot in August).Taipan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 8:15 am If the weather ever breaks we'll start going away at least one weekend each month in the campervan. I'm taking most of August off and we're off to Nerja in Spain for a week for a holiday/look around. When we're back here we might go to Cornwall as the wife wants to go back again, but I fancy popping over to Normandy, couple of days in Le Touquet, Honfleur etc. But her Mum is 93 with worsening dementia, so Nerja aside as its paid for, most other plans are only pencilled in...
Nothing planned as yet here, but we keep discussing going "somewhere hot"

Going to France on the bike in a few weeks, then meeting my mates at a gite in Belgium for a week before I finish at Spa for the World Endurance round. The provisional route is Dieppe/Tarn / Ardeche/Bourg D'Oiisans/Voges/Belgium/Dieppe.But if it doesn't start warming up soon I can see the itinery changing..
Got the annual trip to the Manx GP/Classic TT to look forward to in August.
Before I go to France I need to do a shakedown run for a few days camping, but so far the incessant rain has put that on hold.

Heading to Morocco on Saturday for two weeks, getting the ferry from Almeria to Nador.
Once home from that, I will swap bikes and head off to Czechia for 10 days or so.
Croatia in August, Bol D'or for the endurance race in Sepember.

Staying in blighty this year. Mr's Dodgy cares for her mother and it can be an issue getting cover. We've managed to book a week in a cottage in the Yorkshire moors in June and we're having a few 3 dayers .
Main holiday interest this year being cycling with the ebikes. Peaks in a couple of weeks, pedalling the old railway lines. Proper peaceful leisure time.

Mid Wales on the Diavel in two weeks time
Ardennes on the Triumph Scrambler in 4 weeks time
Down to Bordeaux in June, on a road trip to stay with some friend for a few nights in the middle but other destinations to be decided
Called off Morzine this year as I am too old to write off another summer
